Kate and Laurel Wyldwood Rustic Wood Desk, 48" x 23.5" x 30", Rustic Brown and Coastal White, Chic Farmhouse-Inspired Design

I have a small home office and the design and size are just perfect - actually pleasantly surprised that it is bigger than I thought it would be and just the right size work area for my laptop and extra monitor and plenty of room to write! The only thing i was disappointed in was that there is no finish on the desktop. ? Was that an oversight? Anyway, I bought a clear vinyl to fit the top and it's good to go! I get to see the beauty of the wood and not worry about marking it up!

I took my time shopping around for a desk for my home office. I wanted something that would be both pretty and practical. I opted for this Kate & Laurel desk. I love the design but was a bit disappointed at the quality or lack thereof. The wooden top has a dull, raspy finish. I tried using a bit of wood polish as you can see in photo and while it did help a little, I think the best bet would be to add a coat of varnish. This should do the trick. However, I don’t understand why it wouldn’t come varnished, considering the hefty price! It is made in China so I guess the low quality is to be expected. Not a deal breaker for me; maybe for some potential buyer? The desk was not too heavy to bring in the house; I’m 5” ft and just dragged the box in! It was more of a hassle for me to open it and remove the plastic. Also, finding the screws and washers turned out to be a pain as they had fallen out of the little plastic bag they came in and some got wedged in the big cardboard box...luckily none were missing. Assembly was a no-brainer and the only tool needed was the little Allen wrench it came with. Overall, it does the job and it’s pretty. I even have room for my hefty, 40-lb. printer but I may have to buy a separate cart for it as it kind of hogs up the desk. Lol.

I love the look of this desk. It fits in nicely with my rustic farmhouse decor. I was very pleased with the customer service as well. The original desk arrived damaged from shipping and they immediately sent out new one.

The desk is pretty but not the quality it should be for the price paid. My husband had to drill a hole in the leg to attach the top. I like the looks of it but definitely not worth the money.

Unsure of long term use considering the price point. Probably not worth it. It’s very wobbly despite putting it together using the instructions. I had to take my computer monitor off of it, I was afraid it was going to flip off.

Not the best quality but serves its purpose.
