Taking Chance by HBO Studios

As a Marine, this movie has a special place in my heart.

Great flick about an upper military man volunteering to escorting a fallen PFC's body back to his home in small town USA. Very respectful of our fallen heroes.

Fantastic movie regarding the dignity and respect given to fallen soldiers.

As a former member of the 1st. Marine Division, this movie really shows the sacrifices the military and there families make for this great country. The acting was so amazing & so accurate from Kevin Bacon & all that portrayed Marines I would think that they were actually Marines. This movie should be viewed by every American to see what is sacrificed.

I missed this movie when it was on HBO, but saw snippets of it on YouTube and bought the DVD. Really love the movie. It pulls back the curtain to inform about what processes are in place when one of our service personnel dies and is returned home. It is a very sad movie with moments of pride for how these affairs are handled with honor and dignity. Kevin Bacon is outstanding in this role.If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it

Every American should watch this film. I'm normally not a big fan of Kevin Bacon, but he did an amazing job in this film, portraying his role with seriousness and honesty. If you are not familiar with what happens when an American soldier dies, this will really open your eyes. It is emotional, patriotic (which our country really needs right now!), and solemn, yet inspiring. I would encourage that teenagers watch it, too.

We have shared this movie with many friends and they have all been very impressed. We have been a military family for many years but never knew this much about our fallen. If you don't cry, you will have a very heavy heart. Never before has any movie shown so much respect and brought out so much pride for our military. I recommend this for any age and if you never knew or had a loss of someone, or if you have felt a loss - you will feel like you are part of this movie. Please don't pass on this movie !!!
