Reef Salt, 22 kg

I have used Reef Crystal since I started my tank 4 months ago. It was OK I assumed but I have just switched to this salt and have done two water changes with it. I filter with a single 200m sock, Rox 0.8 carbon, UV, and oversized PS and though my tank was crystal clear before, well it is like looking through pure air now. I still cant get over how clear my tank water is now, with only a 50% and 20% gallon change over 2 weeks so far.Plus, my corals are all super happy, all open, they love the new traces I am sure. If you are looking for a new salt, try this one out, not cheap, but so far loving it! Also, it comes from the UK so it is metric. For 5-gallons you need 19.5 cup measurements, so just a hair shy of 2 full cups.Also, the instructs state mix it up and bring up the temp and the water is good to go in 5 minutes, this is true! I bring the RODI from garage storage so the temp is where it needs to be, throw in 4 cups to make 10-gallons, come back in 10 minutes and the bin is crystal clear. This ability to not have to pre-mix really is a huge benefit. I still premix overnight, but feel safe in knowing I can have instant saltwater if I need it.

I really like the way the this salt comes with a quality assurance standard test done to the exact salt in your bucket. I have verified these tests with the exact same results that they give us. I am also really pleased with how quickly it mixes and how clearly it mixes. I was able to mix the 40 gallons of water in less than 15 minutes it was ready to use. Try that with other brands. This also has a great alkalinity level. Most other salts have extremely elevated alkalinity. The way that they packaged us all inside of a bag inside of a bucket with a measuring scoop just makes it over the top a great value. It was an extra good value when I first came to the United States and it had probio s in it.

I love this salt… I have bought 3 22kg buckets and Ca levels were at 430mg/l twice and the third was at 420mg/l as stated on the enclosed quality certificate inside the bucket. Mixes almost instantly clear unlike the CoralPro I use to mix. Glad my store was out of CoralPro or I may have never switched. My Alk was always haywire in my 220g reef with CarolPro as well, not any more with this stuff. Now I know why this is the #1 selling salt in Europe. High quality at $59 to your doorstep is unbeatable!

I have tried other brands and I am amazed with the improvement in my corals since trying this product. It is an awesome product.

Immediate difference, been using Reef Crystals and reg Instant Ocean for years. Always cloudy and polyps retract until water clears which is usually about 6 hours. This time the water is clear, & corals are fully extended

I always roll my salt thoroughly before use and mix to 1.025 sg. Sadly, I found this reef salt had very low calcium and alk #'s on two different buckets on different batch #'s. My other batches were spot on! Sadly, going back to Tropic Marin Pro Reef. I truly hoped Aquaforest Reef Salt was going to be my long term salt mix. I've waited over six months to report MY findings on this product. If I wanted to dose up during mixing then I would buy regular Instant Ocean. I spend too much time and money on my coral reef to wonder if my next bucket of reef salt is within true reef salt parameters.
