4) New Rockford Fosgate P1683 6x8" 260 Watt 3 Way Car Coaxial Speakers Audio

These are some great speakers to replace the factories in my 2010 F150. Very easy to install and are a perfect fit. Given the fact that they are 6x8's, the woofer isn't going to put out a ton of low end, but more than you'd think. The overall sound is really good, and would probably be even better if the speakers were amped. For a stereo, I am running a 2017 Pioneer AVH-2300NEX. ***My only caution is related to the wiring harness. The standard Metra wiring harness does not fit the metal connections on the rear of the speakers because one is larger than the other. I had to DIY it to make it fit securely. ***

I installed 4 of these in a 2010 Escape. They sound good but have about half the bass response of the factory speakers. I see a sub in my future.Edit to add:I'm using the factory radio with no additional amp. These are much stiffer than the factory speakers which explains the lower bass output. I expect it will improve somewhat with age. They have a real nice 'punch' and clarity to them, making them a perfect to use with a sub. I bumped the stars up to 5 because they are very good for the money and I needed a sub anyways. :)

So far so good. Fit perfectly in the doors of an 2013 F150 super crew. I am running it off the stock base model deck for another 2 weeks until my upgraded head unit goes in. Off a stock deck the bass wasn't as heavy as the stock speakers but there may be a bit of a breaking in period on the Rockford Fosgates. The mids and highs sound great and you can certainly tell the difference right away. For what you pay vs what you get this should be a no-brainer investment. Installation in the F150 took about 2 hours but I had some issues forgetting to hook up a few door connections after. Be aware that if you order the metra wiring harness the negative post on the speaker is much bigger than the connection on the harness so you will either have to cut it and put on a new connector or spread it open further​ ( as I did with flat head screwdriver)

These speakers, driven by a head unit, do okay. Powered by their own amp, I am guessing you'll get a nice difference over factory speakers. I am overall happy as they DO get louder without distortion versus the factory speakers. I also installed a 10" RF sub and a RF amp. My truck sounds a lot better but I am an old guy, not looking to win any bass competitions, lol! This is a good deal on a 4 pack, happy with the price for sure.

I did a ton of research before I finally bought these. With the help of crutch-field and their product fitment guide,(which told me these would NOT fit in my front doors, buy they would fit in the rear) these seemed to fit the bill.. However, as I expected, my front door mounts needed catastrophic reconstructive Dremel "massaging" to remove a bunch of non-structural, unnecessary plastic before I could mount these in. They sound so much better than the stock speakers in my Tacoma. I am only running these off my head unit and don't plan on getting an amplifier, so I didn't want to get too big of speaker. I would buy again in an instant.
