LEVEL 2 - Apprentice Plumber.Primary Use: Cutting 1/2" and 3/4" PEX pipe.When I bought this tool I was more than impressed - the build quality; sharpness of the blade - and other plumbers on the job site loved it - WE ALL LOVED IT!!! A few months pass, and there is a moon shape curve in the blade, and the cutters suck. Yes, as a LEVEL 2, Apprentice Plumber, I use the tool more than most, but less than some. Yes, I can easily sharpen the blade or purchase a replacement blade, but for the price, I shouldn't need to do so after such a short time.This is my first and only Rothenberger tool, and likely my last strictly due to the quality of the blade. I've had my 2" ABS Ratchet Shears from REED for almost two years and they still cut through ABS pipe like a hot knife through butter. The shears have easily made twice the number of cuts on much thicker - much denser pipe. In my mind, there is no reason for the blade on my Rothenberger cutters to be dull and dented when my REED shears keep going. I have a few REED tools in my toolbag - I think I'm going to stick with them.

Excellent cutter.I'm not a professional,but my friend is.Notice he was looking at the name after he had use it for several cuts.Well made.IT is pricey for what it is.
