Love the rod
The rod is perfect. Nice action and strong. I purchased three ugly sticks in the past and still have them.But the reel is a waist of money and the line on the spool is the worst.But I think the rod was worth the amount that I paid.

Not going to loose this one in the grass.
It came with line supplied and cast easily enough I did not replace the line. I have some very expensive poles but river fishing this is going to be the one pole I always take. Im allowed two in New Mexico. Just like the color.

Rod good....reel ok.
Reel came broken. I like the rod as I've generally like Ugly Stik products over the years. I use this for Pan Fish. I would likely by the spinning version of the rod again. The reels are not great though. I have two of them and they both have issues.

Nice combo
Real nice fishing combo, we call it a carrot stick. Haven’t caught any huge fish but still trying.

Horrible
Spent 60 dollars I. A Christmas gift due to illness was just able to do Christmas with my grandsons and it was horrible. It was missing the top half of the of the pile. I had a very disappointed boy. And of course I can’t return it

Great Reel and Rod Combo
I bought these to have for guests at my lake camp. I’ve had so many open faced reels destroyed by guests that don’t know how to use them, so I decided to get some reels suitable for all levels of fishing. I must say though….I enjoy this combo very much and use it often!
