Daiya Dairy Free Gluten Free White Cheddar Style Vegan Mac and Cheese, 10.6 Ounce (Pack of 8)

Daiya cheezy mac is my go-to when I have a migraine or am sick and need to eat, but don't feel hungry. Having to be gluten free as well as dairy- and soy-free makes it very difficult to find quick to make comfort foods, and this is perfect for those days.My only wish is that the pasta would be less starchy and taste better warmed up. It's good fresh cooked, but not so much the next day.

Due to some health issues, I moved to a vegan diet. I thought that I would be agonizing over cheese. Daiya has come through with one of my all-time favorite comfort foods. I eat home-made everything, but sometimes, I have a "lazy day." Cheezy Mac is my favorite packaged "lazy day" meal. Now I can get my cheese fix! The texture and flavor are superior over other cheese substitutes that I have tried. Even my carnivorous, cheese addicted husband likes it. I live in a remote part of Alaska where I have to order everything. I love this product because it is shelf-stable and the company ships to Alaska.

So those of us with Gluten and dairy sensitivity - this was a great gift to find. Easy to make and I liked the taste. When you first give up Dairy its hard to let go of your love for cheese. These products give me a nice alternative. The tastes is some what acquired but not as oily as cheese and works great mixed with veggies etc. Its my quick fix dinner when I am working late

The pasta cooks easily, doesn't stick to everything, and doesn't fall apart as I've seen with some gluten free pastas. The sauce is rich and sticky and is the perfect consistency for mac and cheese. I think it tastes as close to Kraft mac and cheese as you can get, while avoiding dairy and gluten. I have a special needs child who cannot eat dairy or gluten and also has difficulty chewing. It's really hard for us to find easy to prepare meals with variety that my son can tolerate, and I am so excited to have something new to add to his diet. He ate this product with great enthusiasm! I am looking forward to trying their other mac and cheez products.

I bought a case of this because I’m allergic to dairy. I can now have Mac n cheese when everyone else in my family has the regukarccheese kind. This tastes great and has a creamy texture. It’s a little cheaper to get it by the case than buying it individually at the grocery store, plus I can’t often find it at grocery stores near me. So buy the case and enjoy.

If you end up reheating it add a little bit of water so that it isn't so thick. Sort of like you do when your reheating rice. That way it reheats great! I sprinkle mine with a little bit of sea salt or Himalayan sea salt and it's absolutely perfect! If I'm feeling fancy I'll add a little vegan beefless crumbles. So good! Some of my vegan friends add a little of their cheddar shredded on top and mix it in, I don't feel it needs it. PS-love the Alfredo too!

The vegans totally let me down here. I read all the reviews before purchasing. My baby has cow's milk protein intolerance and I'm breastfeeding, so i can't have dairy for now. I seriously am missing mac&cheese and alfredo sauce. Based on the positive reviews, i was looking forward to this product and bought a pack of 8 for $45. Now I have 7 inedible boxes. This stuff does not taste like mac&cheese. Not even close. Maybe vegans who aren't used to real cheese can tolerate it, but I urge you to buy 1 box to try it out vs. 8. Heck, I have 7 that I can send out as samples!

I'd give more stars because this is a decent vegan mac & chz. BUT. All eight boxes are date stamped for Aug 2018, which is less than two months I purchased them. Nobody eats (or should any way) that much mac & chi in that short of a period of time.
