Just wanted to thanks Amazon
Well, I haven't really read the book yet but I would just like to thank Amazon for making this book available to me.I just wish the package did not come with around 1-2% of dirt covering the book.Since I am a Eureka Fan, I'd automatically give this book 4.5 stars (of course I don't believe its perfect).I just wish that the Eureka from the cover wouldn't look as innocent. I loved her old usual angry/feisty look.Anyway, will update when I finish reading the book.I am just so excited about this! Thanks again Amazon!

This novel really stays true to the core feel and appeal of Eureka Seven, but with a number of unique and creative changes which sets itself apart from other mediums of the series."It felt like someone was reaching out to grab my hand."This is the opening sentence to Blue Monday, and a terrific one at that. The title of this first of four (books that is) refers to the song of the same name by British rock band, New Order. Sugihara, at least for this title, has a pretty simple and clean writing style which might add for some pros and cons depending on the reader, fear not though. Renton's basically still the same incredibly naïve and seemingly love-struck kid as you knew him, and the Gekkostate and United Federation are still at total odds and ends with each other. I personally think Renton grows up quite a bit differently though through the new scenarios, characters, and viewpoints situated in not only Blue Monday but the other three light novels as well. This is nowhere near a reprint of the anime in book form, but it's also by no means a story unbefitting of the name Eureka Seven, think of it as an amazingly well written Fanfic that sticks to the system already established by Tomoki Kyoda and Bones. I'm no professional literary analyst ( if such a thing exists), and I didn't go to school for reviewing novels, nor do I want to, but the only real criticism I can give this book is that it's a light novel. Delving deep into context, style, narration etc. is abnormally difficult for a type of literature that is so strictly set in stone guideline and audience wise. Then again maybe I'm wrong and the aforementioned sentence only heightens how simple it actually is to properly review this type of book. Regardless of all that, if you found a liking in the anime or the manga, I don't really see how you could not like this adaptation, and in all honesty if you instead did not like those things then you probably won't like the novel. It's a great read and the other three books in the series are no different in that regard.

Blue Monday
First, I think that everyone should know that this novel does not follow the story in the anime exactly.Otherwise it is a really good book. Parts of it made me scratch my head wondering when that had happened in the anime, but do not let it discourage you from reading it.So if you like a sci-fi novel then I really do suggest buying this novel.

Eureka~!
I've been awaiting a light novel to accompany the Eureka Seven anime and manga, and this exceeds my expectations to the fullest. In a nutshell, it's a love story, but has been infused with dashes of mecha and thrilling adventure, making it futuristic and nostalgic at the same time.
