At first they didn't seem to work, by accident I discovered that they only work with the CFL swirly lightbulbs. I don't even buy those anymore but I happened to have two. Therefore, because of the light bulb they aren't all that bright. But the "controls" on them are very tiny, you need a very tiny screwdriver to turn them. I believe the instructions read something like turn the dial until you find what you like. Anyway, I learned AGAIN that when you buy something made in China, you may think you have saved a few dollars but you get what you pay for. I have vowed that I will go out of my way to make sure my future purchases are all made in the USA. I may pay a few extra dollars but I am supporting the US economy. Plus if I have a problem, I can return a product made in the USA. I have found that you can't always get your money back for a product made in China.

Outstanding Customer Service. One was defective in the first set I received but they replaced them, no questions asked and VERY QUICKLY. For the price you can't beat the performance. They have a small dial to adjust the light sensitivity for the Dusk to Dawn setting and a separate one for motion. I find them extremely useful for my secondary basement lights as the switch is located in the basement and I often forgot to turn it off and had to go back down the stairs. Now the lights turn on/off automatically. It's really great that I can move the device in a moment. All I need is a light socket for any light to become a motion detector 1. Add in a light socket adapter with an outlet feature and you can have a motion activated anything. Awesome! I just hope they last but for the price I paid they could be replaced in a few years if not.

At first I didn’t like them because they went back off almost immediately. However, if you actually read the directions, there’s a switch to change it. They work great. Price was right for what you got too. I’m ordering another set for two closets.

I love these socket motion lights. I put one in my foyer with a nicer looking bulb, and one in the garage. I don’t have to turn on a light switch, or pull a chain to turn on a light any more. It is so nice to open the garage door and garage lights up when you walk in. Love this device.We now have convenience, and when some one comes to visit it’s so nice not to have to fumble around with a light switch.

I was looking for a motion sensor for a light in my garage since my garage door opener light doesn't work. This works great! I didn't notice right away that you can adjust the length of on-time when you move, which helps, because it was going off after 10 seconds..it will stay on for up to 5 minutes. Happy with purchase on day 1!

I was excited to get these and put them in a utility room. They come 2 in a package.The first one stopped working after about 2-months of use. Just stopped. Dead. Nothing.The second one lasted about 6-months but more concerning, it seemed to melt and overheat. Luckily there was no fire.I would avoid this product.

I found this by accident while browsing, and what a happy accident! It is perfect for lighting up my unfinished basement laundry room when I approach, so I don't struggle to find the pull chain on the light bulb. It works even at night when it's VERY dark, but doesn't have the same range as when it isn't quite as dark. The light remains on while I'm in the room moving around, and shuts off 4 minutes after I leave the room (on the longest setting). Very useful for something so inexpensive.

Picks up motion from all directions as advertised. Nice adjustment features to change low light and motion sensitivity.
