Woods of Windsor Eau De Toilette Spray, Lavender, 3.3 Ounce

I like this even more than Yardley’s!

The overall quality and value of this perfume is very good. When I purchased this, I thought lavender would be the answer to everything for me. A light, herbal, calming sort of scent that wouldn't be too overpowering to wear on a daily basis and still be a bit distinctive. A trademark scent, since I don't know many people my age (or anyone else, actually), wanting to go so mellow as an individual scent. Unfortunately, I didn't find what I was looking for in this perfume. It ended up being way too heady and intense, not what I'd been hoping for since I was just beginning to wear perfume and wanted subtlety. The problem with the scent isn't the lavender at all, it's another strong streak of "greenery", that I just don't find appealing. If you've ever handled a fresh sapling or branch, or plucked dandelions and milk thistle from the lawn, you'll know what I'm talking about. It's very pungent in this perfume and I found it drowning out all the lavender I'd hope to get out of this. I can't even describe it as a fresh aspect of this scent, its just too overwhelming and neither I, nor my husband found it agreeable.

Fresh, lovely lavender scent, just like Yardley’s soap. Peppery, light, and nothing artificial about it. Not cloyingly sweet. I don’t like heavy perfumes, and prefer green, and woody scents. I hesitated about buying something so flowery as lavender, but I adore lavender soap and decided to gamble. This smells just as clean and fresh. I can’t believe what a bargain it is. Bottle is 5” tall, not counting the decorative top. I will buy this again and again and use it not just for cologne, but to spray in my closets, for towels and linen. At twenty something dollars for this big bottle, it is cheaper than top line room and laundry fresheners. I am so pleased with purchase. The only downside I can think of is this might not last all day.

Item as described but not as pictured. It is in the light packaging by Woods of Windsor but is the real deal. Also happy that it came sealed by the manufacturer so I know it was new as described. Absolutely would buy again from this seller. If the scent is musky in any way, it's an old bottle. Check the actual Woods of Windsor website for the latest packaging so you know it's fresh before buying. This scent, when fresh, is a wonderful and light scent that's not overpowering at all but smells like you just got out of the shower. Very subtle. If you didn't like the scent, that may be why. Otherwise, been using this for over 20 years and have my friends hooked on it too.

It is a pleasant light smell. Does not last long. It is not the lavender smell that I remember buying in England. I enjoy using a light scent for every day use. I will not be ordering it again.

My favorite perfume for many years was Woods of Windsor Lavender Eau de PARFUM...I have asthma and many scents really bother me...this one did not, and I always received favorable comments when wearing it. Now I can't get the PARFUM...I tried the body spray AND now this Eau de TOILETTE, and THEY ARE ENTIRELY DIFFERENT SCENTS,and unfortunately, THEY BOTHER MY ASTHMA! I don't mean to malign this product; I'm hoping that someone who reads this can direct me to my original favorite, the Eau de PARFUM. I don't know why they stopped making THIS particular product, but THIS girl really misses it! Funny, you'd think the scents of lavender would all be the same in the parfum/body spray/eau de toilette, but some ingredient(s) are either left out or added and the result is markedly different. Thanks for "listening"...

This perfume is ok but I was expecting it to smell more feminine or more lavender. It actually has a very strong musky/cologne odor. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, it is unisex and in my opinion, it smells more masculine than feminine. Think twice about buying if you're not into heavy musky perfume, ladies.From the Woods of Windsor website: "Lavender flower [has] been combined with notes of patchouli, musk and chamomile..."

I found a tiny bottle of this fragrance while touring Jefferson's Monticello and looked for months for more. I finally learned the company was bought out and being refurbished by the new owner. I worried that the new product would be a cheap imitation of the original, but it is just as good. I love the soft relaxing scent and its wonderful staying power. Not an elegant night out aroma but a great fragrance for everyday and to calm and relax you. The richest, most expensive smelling lavender parfum I have found.

Magnifique !!! - ERREUR de ma part !!! J'ai écrit trop vite avant de vérifier le contenu du colis : la boîte est humide car le flacon est à moitié vide et ce n'est pas le vrai parfum britannique ENGLISH LAVENDER ! Ce n'est qu'une biennavrante immitation qui n'a rien à voir avec celle que vous me procuriez il y a plusieurs années !Que dois-je faire de ce demi contenu qui n'a aucune odeur intéressante ???
