Q: I wear a 9.5 4E shoe. Are these a standard width or will they fit my wide feet?

They seem to be sized big on length but are on the low volume size.

Q: Why dosen't shoe makers make shoe for people with wide feet?

I have wide feet and these fit well. Order a half size smaller as they run big. I wear a 12-13 depending on the shoe. Most of the time I wear a 13 and I ordered a 12.5 in these.

Q: Are they a narrow shoe or will wide foot almost EE fit in it?

They are a tad on the narrow side. Definitely the narrowest of the 510 line. I doubt they would comfortably fit EE. Check out the Impacts they tend to run wider.

Q: Are they good for winter riding ?

I doubt it. ItS well ventilated, which is good for our winter which rarely dips below 65F. But if your talking cold winters, it has no insulative value.
