Works as expected. Although, be advised, for Harley golf carts, you'll need a smaller belt. Factory calls for Gates 7295, I used a 7290. The smaller pulley will run out the adjustment to where one of the starter posts will contact the air cleaner. No biggie

I have bought/returned/retried several of these. Thinking it was an over voltage problem, replaced the voltage regulator multiple times. Finally hooked up a constant volt meter to watch it. Never over 14v. This thing just destructed. It always takes a few months before this happens. OEM lasted 20 years. This replacement lasts a couple months -right outside of the return period.I finally have decided to go with a different manufacturer. Recommend you replace your voltage regulator with an OEM one. And monitor your voltages if your starter goes bad.

It came quickly and as my cart was off the road it put things right also quickly. I could not believe the price considering the quality of the generator

Finally got a good one. Runs cool do should last unlike the last 3 ,I guess I'm a slow learner.

easy to install

Installed this starter/generator for a customer. When customer finally picked cart up a couple months later (they were out of town) customer had cart back for two weeks and then a no start condition. Found this brand new starter had failed already. Since it had been past the return period on amazon I contacted the manufacturer directly. They basically refused to do anything about it. After several emails back and forth they finally agreed allow me to send the starter back to them but they told me I needed to pay the return shipping. They would then take several weeks to inspect the item and then determine if it was a warranty issue or not. I told them they needed to send a prepaid label and that i was not paying to ship it back so they quit responding to my emails. I didn’t have time to wait as my customer was already irritated and wanted their cart back. I replaced the starter on my dime and took this one apart to see if i could repair it. The amount of damage in such a short period of time is unbelievable. Garbage products and terrible customer service. Will never buy another rare electrical product again.

Exactly as ordered easy installation and working as advertised.

It shorted out in first 10 minutes but I didn’t return it because I took the old one and this one and pieced one together because my customer was in bad need of the cart so that’s on me but needed to meet customers needs to stay in business and have as repeated customer so basically I’m just giving a fyi

I have installed it on a Caterpillar D4 to power the pony engine (which was previously, rope start) After a considerable amount of time, trial and error, the result is very satisfactory.
