Dreambaby Chelsea Auto-Close Security Baby Safety Gate-White - Model F160W, 28-32 Inch

I've only had this gate for about a week but I'm happy to report that I love it so far. The gate arrived in perfect condition, no scratches, dents, weak joints, etc. I set it up according to the instructions which were included and it works like a charm. The gate swings open in both directions, closes automatically, and can also conveniently be clicked into place and be kept all the way open... I tend to leave the gate wide open when I know I'll be coming home with a bunch of groceries and will have my hands full. The locking mechanism works as it should and is easy to operate. The gate is sturdy and closes firmly when set up correctly. I have my gate at the top of the stairs to the basement and the gap there is 31.5". It adjusted with no issues to that width.I'd like to note also that the spaces between the gate's rails are small enough that my two chihuahuas can't squeeze their little heads through. That was a worry of mine when I was originally shopping around.So far so good! As long as the gate continues to hold up the way it has, I'm a very happy customer.

We love this gate. Very easy to install, very safe and secure, and love the fact that it closes by itself. You do have to let it swing back so it latches closed which causes it to slam shut or you can guide it slowly by hand and latch it quietly. Wish the price was a little cheaper, seeing we had to get extensions for both gates but worth the price for peace of mind. Also wish they did a better job explaining what size would be best. Perhaps, a calculator on their site where you can put in what your measurements are and they recommend the right fit. We came way too close on one of the gates because they don't take into account the space needed for the additional screw on pieces. Should have probably gotten a smaller extension but it worked. Anyhoo, just my input. Be sure to measure several times.

This baby gate is amazing and I did a ton of research. I have been nervous about putting baby gates in my house because it's usually a hassle to open them while holding the baby and then close it behind you. This gate has a lot of great features that eliminates the stress of having a baby gate. It has a stay open feature. You just push the gate all the way open and it stays open! This is perfect for when baby is napping upstairs and you don't need to use the gate at that time. Also to close it from this position you just pull it closed. Another great feature is the automatic close. This is necessary for moms! Who has time to close the baby gate while you are holding your baby? It makes an audible yet not too loud click sound when it shuts so you know it has closed. Also this is just the most durable and attractive gate I have yet seen. You really won't mind it in your living area. Yes, it is annoying to figure out what extensions you need. I had to place a couple more amazon orders to finally get the right combination. It is WORTH it though!

Perhaps it's too early to rate this baby gate since I only assembled and installed it last night, but I still thought it timely. The assemble manual is in several languages aside from English, but still remains somewhat clear, though much briefer than some would like. I've put up similar gates in the past, none of which were for babies, just for a small dog. This gate does up easier than the past ones I've had and is easier to align (directions tell how to align the two cross marks for correct fit relative to opening and self closing). The correct alignment is the key and it's pretty easy. Now you will see a recommended item called a wall saver. It'll keep the gate from digging into your wall or door frame (wish I'd had that with our last non-Amazon baby gate). It does recommend it and I did order it... Nice item, BUT when you order the wall saver, order Two of then. It only comes with two, which I used for the top, but wished I had order another pair from the bottom.Getting past ordering 2 wall savers, let me just say that so far, with the gate adjusted per instructions, it opens easily (push button in and lift up - works well one handed unlike many others) and it automatically closes well. You can also carefully push the open gate just a little bit further and the gate will stay open, which is a nice feature if it needs to be open, say while you're unloading groceries and the gate is in a kitchen doorway. Oh, one last thing, it's not as loud in closing in ones I've used in the past and doesn't scare my rescue Scottish Terrier when it closes. That's a big plus for me and dog.

I have this gate, with 2 large extensions, at the top of our stairs where it would be awkward and dangerous to have a gate IN the staircase opening. This allows us to have the gate across the wider opening at a 90 degree angle to the stairs. It is sturdy enough to stand up to two young boys that like to shake it, but you should definitely check the tension and tighten it occasionally. The only real issue I've had is the pin, spring and lock washer that hold the gate in place have popped out twice. They go back in place easily enough, but the pieces got lost the last time so the gate is just sitting against the wall right now. I do not want to pay for another whole gate when I only need the pin, spring and washer so I'm trying to figure out how to contact the company and see if they can replace the pieces I need.

I bought 3 different brands of infant gates around the same time just because of different decorative needs for certain doorways, this is the one I'm pleased most from multiple aspects. It is light weight as much as it is durable, therefore when it auto closes, it makes the least noise as possible (this is in comparison to Munchkin autoclose door [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00INT0Y7O/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1]). Walk thru part is average wide so fits the standards. Door opening mechanism is complicated enough for a toddler while quite easy for an adult with one hand. I recommend this product with no reservations.

I love this gate. It's incredibly easy to install and it took only 15 mins to install each. It's incredibly sturdy and looks great too. I have a 9 month old son who loves to crawl and I'm no longer worried about him getting into the kitchen or onto the balcony if I just step away for a minute. The gate is sturdy enough to hold his weight when he uses it to stand up.I would definitely recommend it to other parents and although it is pretty expensive, it gives me peace of mind and you can't really put a price on your child's safety.

I bought this gate as I had very specific requirements. It needed to be pressure mounted (as one side is fixing to glass)and the gap was 125cm. Too big for most gates, even with extensions. Dreambaby do large extensions in 45cm and even a 60cm! I only needed the 45cm one with this gate.I was a bit wary as I had never heard of Dreambaby before. But I did a bit of research and found they were a pretty reputable company in Australia. So I went for it. And am I glad I did! Fantastic delivery service from Amazon. But the gate exceeded expectations. Its solidly built, easy to assemble. Fits my gap nicely! Above all, its easy to open and close one handed. Not stiff at all. But it needs a bit of a lift to open it, which means a baby/toddler wouldn't be able to do it themselves.All in all, if you are umming and ah-ing about taking a gamble with this unknown product. You don't need to. Just buy it! I for one am very pleased with it and would recommend it to anybody.
