All American Collection New 7 Piece Embroidered Over-Sized Comforter Set (King, Beige/Brown/Turquoise)

The comforter set is exactly as described. The colors (I got the brown, teal and cream) i had been looking for this combination, so I was excited to purchase. The quality, however is not good. I'm not sure if this is manufacturer quality or the seller tried to "fix" a returned item...but as you can see in the pictures there are areas where the thread is not the same color. There wasn't even an attempt at matching...or sewing in the pattern. Just sloppy work.Update: so i returned the first comforter due to the stitching and received a different one. Same issue, different thread color (now brown in the cream area. There really isn't any reason for the thread to be in this area...on both sides of the blanket...8 stitch areas. So this is a manufacturer mess up. Not worth the 100 bucks

The description only had one picture, of a beautiful dark gray and teal comforter set with some accent pillows, and it was exactly how I wanted my bedroom to look. I have a dark gray upholstered bed frame/headboard, and I bought dark gray sheets that matched the gray of the comforter exactly, and I was very excited for it to arrive. And then it arrived, and I pulled it out and found... white. The back of the comforter and the pillow shams is white fabric. Not only would it have been a huge pain to really keep clean, but in all the dark gray, the sudden flashes of white would be blinding. And although you can hide it long enough for, say, a picture, as in the listing here, you wouldn't be able to hide that with daily use. It was very very disappointing, because it was otherwise a beautiful set.Two other things I wanted to address: First, a decent number of reviews refer to it being poorly made with threads everywhere. There were indeed a lot of loose threads when I was examining it. However, in looking at them, they appeared to be just poor/sloppy thread trimming when it was being put together rather than any actual structural deformity. I am not an expert, so I can't say that with 100% certainty, but that's what it looked like to me. I think if I'd kept it, I would have clipped all the threads and I think it would have been fine. I didn't wash it or use it at all, once I saw the back side was white, but that was my impression.Second, It was noted in another review that there was a bunch of randomly sewn different colored threads sewn all over the place, which the reviewer thought was poor craftmanship and sloppy work. At least some of the threads they submitted pictures of were intentionally sewn to help keep the filling in place when the comforter is washed (this is a pretty common thing that I've seen quite a bit as I've been looking for comforters). It is unfortunate that the threads were so poorly matched to the rest of the comforter for that reviewer. The places where the one I got were sewn like that had mostly matching threads... most were dark gray, and there were a few places where it was a lighter gray, but nothing that would have stood out. Related, I did notice that the filling around the edges didn't stay in place very well. If washed, I think it would have bunched up a little just at the edges because the filling wasn't sewn into the edges, it just ended at the edge but was loose there. I think it would have straightened out with a little working it after washing, but it would have been better if it had actually been sewn all the way around the edge instead.

I do like the comforter’s design. I washed it right after opening because it was incredibly wrinkled. After washing, I noticed the stitching in the center of one of the flowers had come loose. I had to iron it, which was difficult. I am also having a difficult matching any curtains to it. I even purchased turquoise curtains from the same manufacturer and had to send them back. If I had it to do all over again I would’ve picked a different one.UPDATE: it’s basically ruined after the second wash. Stitching is coming out in so many places.

I saw mixed reviews but I decided to take a chance! I love it! It's exactly the color I wanted! I love the different textured too! So beautiful!

I am glad I purchased the California king for my king bed. It fits nice and is lightweight enough to use as a summer blanket. It looks beautiful and lightened up the room. I love it!

This comforter colors are true to picture. Just what I was looking for. What I didn’t like is that it was very wrinkled when taken out of packaging. After smoothing it out on the bed in a couple of days the wrinkles came out.

It is light weigh, pretty this but keeps you warm enough. Not very comfortable. There is no softness to it. But the colors are great.

Comforter looks so elegant and is so soft. I like the California King as it hangs on the sides a lot better. Perhaps they need a Canadian King so that it hangs in the proper spot but still looks so good.
