The buckle is silver. It's a great gait belt!

Q: Can this be used with a wheelchair to help prevent person from sliding down?

I would never use this gait belt for a person in a wheelchair who might slide down and fall. The risk of the person's head getting caught and being unable to breath would far outweigh the benefit of not sliding out and, perhaps, falling.

This feels like both. there does seem to be more cotton.

Q: How do you clean them between patients

I would suggest that you buy the vinyl. As an occupational therapist I clean my vinyl in this Covid world with an Appropriate disinfectant wipe that kills Covid. However Covid can be killed in a hot washer With soap and then hot dryer . It kind of depends upon if it’s for multi person use. I hope this helps you.
