I'm an avid jigsaw puzzle fan who has used various puzzle manufacturers. The box the puzzle comes in is all white. But inside is thick, folded print out of the image that is perforated so I guess you could tear it into smaller pieces. Also, it comes with some cardboard stands to aid in holding the printout...I'm guessing as there were no instructions outlining their purpose. This puzzle is not cardboard but a thin plywood--that does splinter. While all puzzles leave some cardboard dust--this one leaves little splinters of wood. I do not recommend if small children will be around it. What really made me reduce the score was the splinters and that it only contains two shapes making it easy to assemble pieces together even if they don't go together in design. The puzzle does come with letters printed on the back to aid you in assembly and what region the pieces go into. I just didn't find that appealing (unassemble pieces and see if the new pieces are correct). The puzzle also comes with a bag to hold the pieces. It will be full of splinters.

My husband and I have put together many 1000 piece puzzles and found this to be almost difficult to the point of not fun. The end result was beautiful but getting there was frustrating. Multiple pieces could fit into the same space but only one was the correct one. It took a lot of fitting and refitting to make it happen!

I paid a little extra because the scene was so nice. The puzzle comes with a nice poster of the scene that is about the same size as the puzzle when put together. But, when I opened the box and started organizing the pieces, I realized that most of the interior (non-border) pieces are identically cut. I am only about 5% done but have already joined to incorrect pieces together quite a few times. My daughter gave me a good tip. There is printing on the reverse side of the pieces so we can turn them over to stop mismatching them but it is a pain.

Pieces are thick & sturdy but A LOT of the wrong pieces fit together so that’s a little frustrating. Comes with a bag to keep the pieces in and the box turns into a puzzle piece organizer.

I usually buy Ravensburger Puzzles but because of the high demand near Christmas, the prices have increased considerably so I thought to try another brand less expensive. The puzzle pieces are so poorly cut they do not “snap” in place like the Ravensburger puzzles. And some of the pieces are so similar that they can easily be placed incorrectly. It is an easier puzzle for sorting because of the small letters on each piece indicates which area in puzzle in should be placed. The problem is that to check placement one has to turn the pieces over and check if letter-pattern is correct. See photo that shows the problem. I’m returning this low quality puzzle.

We love this puzzle. Each piece fits snugly with each other. No super weird shaped pieces like you will find with other brands. The box is small, but the photos of the puzzle are clear and complete. No missing photo edges or corners like you find on Ravensburger puzzles. Very pleasantly surprised that a FULL SIZE poster of the puzzle is included inside the box!!! This was a tricky puzzle to build and we enjoyed every minute of it. We really liked how the backs of the pieces are printed with which quadrant they are located, which is a very nice touch.All that being said, I could not give it 5 stars because it is missing one piece!!!

Although the image was a beautiful and clear, this puzzle was less than satisfying because all of the pieces (except for the border ones having a flat edge) were the same shape, and could basically be fitted together no matter if they were correct or not. The fact that the pieces were all the same shape made it more difficult in a way because it removed the aspect of finding a particular shaped puzzle piece for a spot in the puzzle. So that made me rely on the back of the puzzle, which was lettered, which I usually don't mind too much; however, in combination with the large same-size photograph of the puzzle image, which I also ended up relying on; it removed much of the challenge and diversion of doing a jigsaw puzzle. I wouldn't purchase this brand again for those reasons.
