Very easy to put together and work as they are supposed to with the drink cups. Wish they were included with the cups instead of purchased separately

I have had mixed results gluing to pvc pipes and had a couple cracks that I suspect is UV related.

I have had trouble with watering solutions for my 22 chickens. They constantly get dirt in or knock over their normal waterers. So, after reading recommendations from some of my Facebook Chicken groups, I decided to try to make my own automatic waterer that would stay clean and not require so much heavy lifting on my part. I'm an old woman!I ordered these, and the accessory cups from rent a coop on Amazon and they arrived very quickly, and in good condition. The company is great in packaging and quality. I was able to easily see how everything goes together.I bought the 1/2" PVC pipe, an end cap, a hose adapter, and the PVC primer and cement from my local hardware store. They even cut the pvc pipe for me into 1 foot long sections. I coupled each section with one of these couplers to ensure a good fit and design and they looked great, so I glued everything together with an end cap on one end and the hose adapter on the other end. I then screwed a cup into each adapter. The cups seem to have a mechanism that once they reach a certain level of fill, they seal themselves so that they don't overfill. Once the chicken drinks from the cup, they self fill again. I then zip tied this pipe with the adapters and cups to my chicken run wire (I use hardware cloth) so that it was level at both ends. Then, I attached a hose pipe to the adapter (3/4" instead of 1/2" so I used a hasp adapter recommended by the hardware store to match sizes on both ends). The hose went under my chicken run wall through the dirt then back up on the outside through my wire skirt. I snipped a small hole for it to come through. I then used a 32 gallon plastic trash can that I had put a brass spigot attachment into the bottom and attached to the hose. The lid of the trash can I turned upside down so that it created a bowl effect and drilled a small 7/8" hole into the center. So that when it rains, the rain will collect into the can and water the chickens. I added a cup of ACV to keep the chicks healthy & discourage algae and now my automatic waterer is good to go! I did go ahead and fill it about half full with fresh water until rain can start.It has been a week now and the setup has worked wonderfully. These adapters and the accessory cups have been a key part of saving my back from lugging water and I'm very grateful for this company providing them. There are other alternatives such as chicken nipples but in this 100+ degree Carolina heat, I wanted my chicks to have the ability to dunk and drink as much as they desired without having to work so hard to activate nipples or toggles or whatever.The service, packaging, quality, and speed of delivery from this company was just awesome. I look forward to working with them again!

I installed mine on a Six Foot length of PVC pipe. Spaced them about 6 or 8 inches apart. They are the best thing since fried chicken (no offense to my chickens).

Fitting size is too large to fit auto watering cup as described. These are useless.

had to use the PCV glue to hold and keep the cups from leaking

Waterers attach with no issues.
