Albatross Health New England Disposable 3 ply Face Masks

These came promptly, and are a soft, comfortable material. They seem clean and hygienic, as they come in a sealed plastic bag inside the sealed outer box. The masks themselves seem softer, in a good way, than some other ones I have used, and the ear loops seem to be affixed better than some others. They do have a bendable nose bridge for a better fit. The package states that these masks should not be used in a surgical setting, so I won't do that, but otherwise they seem ideal for everyday Covid mask use.

As long as the pandemic storms into our lives, I decided to meet it with safety and carefully as possible. These masks are like the ones used at healthcare facilities, 3 ply thickness but don't feel as thick as the material masks I have used previously. I feel like I am getting oxygen and not co2 when I breathe with these masks. 50 in a pack, I don't go out into public much so this is the right amount for me. Delivered on time and in good condition. I decided to try these masks because I thought initially they were made in the US. I discovered before buying that they're made in China but sold by an American company. The company, Albatross, inspects the masks and the description says they meet FDA standards. I thought they might be different and more comfortable than other masks I've tried, but I feel they're mostly the same with the same issues. My husband thinks they're fine. For me, they're a bit too large. One ear loop was too loose, and there were gaps on the side of my face. Also, I didn't feel the metal piece on the top bent well enough to conform to my nose. On the plus side, the mask seemed comfortable and not too scratchy. It didn't go into my eyes too much. I'm still searching for the perfect mask.

This is my third review of this product. My initial review was 5 star. However, when I started to use the masks there were about a half dozen that the ear loops came unglued, rendering them useless. I then wrote a one star review. Since my contact with Albatross, they have apologized and issued a full refund. Additionally, they invited me to sample their new masks. Great recovery and we were very happy to purchase this product BECAUSE they are made in the USA.

I've ordered other basic blue masks, because of COVID, and the masks were thin, questioning if they really had 3 layer protection. After reading reviews of the quality, I took a chance. I am very pleased with this product. The mask is definitely thicker and comfortable to wear. I will be ordering from this manufacturer in the future.

Too small — I have masks left from pre pandemic and these are almost an inch smaller side to side (1/2” each side). And they could be a little bigger about 1/2”+ top to bottom so as to fit from top of nose to under chin. Also don’t conform well to your nose so air escapes. I don’t understand why none of these companies can make a decent mask. I liked to see a disposable that has a top layer that stretches to stay snug in the face to prevent air in and out around edges. Even a fabric that had a stretch top layer that pulls the mask snug (not tight) against the face would help. And these without chin cups are almost useless. I bought a box of two different brands and they are almost identical issues. Neither are as well fitting, thick or as large as the pre-pandemics were. Why pray tell and these all cost much more money than prior (3-10 times depending on brand). Makes no sense.

These were bought for a family member who works with nursing home patients. The employees are only supplied with a limited amount of masks at work. They were told to wear it for more than 7 days... So, we're supplying the disposable masks for some of the workers. These work just fine. We've also bought some printed masks and boxes of others sold though Amazon. By-the-way, they are only allowed to use disposable masks so these were a necessity.

Second time I have purchased them. They work great as a dust mask, and for working outdoors due to allergies.Updated information. For those stating that their glasses fog when wearing this mask, if you double loop them around your ears, there will be a minimal amount of fogging if any.If you want total protection, then purchase an N95 or equivalent.
