Due to the pandemic that's going on in 2020, I spend more time on home cooking than ever nowadays. As I am more and more into serious cooking, I wanted to have a perfect medium-rare steak at home, and to achieve that, I realized a food thermometer would be very helpful.So I pulled a trigger on this food thermometer since all the reviews looked promising and the price seemed reasonable enough.Now, I cooked dozens of steaks with it, and thanks to this little device, I was able to get those steaks exactly how I wanted it to be!The device is very easy to use. Just pull the needle and poke it into the meat. Boom. You get the temperature. Don't even need to turn on/off. As you pull the needle out, it automatically turns itself on which may not sound much impressive but it actually is pretty convenient especially when you have a lot of things going on in your kitchen.Couple more pros of this device:You can set the unit to Celcius which is great for those who are more familiar with Celcius. I've been living in the US for quite some time now, but I am still struggling with the temperature conversion lol. This toggle on this device saves my brain 😂The bottom of the device seems to be all magnet. So you can just attach it to the fridge! How convenient! I live in a tiny apartment with a super limited kitchen capacity. Not having to find a place to store this thermometer is a plus for me. I don't have to go thru all the small cabinets to find where it is when I need it. It's just right on the fridge door haha How accessible!One thing I didn't really like about the product is the battery. I wish it was rechargeable with micro usb/usb-c cable.. It uses a relatively not accessible battery (CR 2032). All that said, it did came with an extra battery and I don't think these two batteries would run out anytime soon so it is ok hahaOverall, I would recommend this device for those who are in the market for a food thermometer!

I love this thing. I keep it stuck right next to the stove for easy access - BECAUSE IT HAS A MAGNET! BRILLIANT!My husband worked in a kitchen in a state run institution for many years. That's nice, except he brought a lot of paranoia with him when he quit. That meant that I had to cook pork tenderloin and chicken breasts until I could retread tires with them. Otherwise, they were, "sus." as the kids say. Now, when he comes to get his dinnerplate, I jab it with this thermometer for an instant reading of, "See? I told you so. It's fine."

Seems to be accurate and it's easy to use.

I bought this for my son for Xmas & ended up calibrating it myself. If you follow the instructions it is easy and accurate, no more overcooked foods. I plan on getting another 1 for my husband. It came with a battery in the thermometer and a 2nd replacement battery. It also had a device for removing the battery door, BONUS, sometimes they are impossible to get off and on. Great purchase I highly recommend ***

This Thermometer is hands down the best one I have ever purchased. The magnet in it is strong and contained INSIDE the device so the adhesive isn't gonna dry out and have to be super glued back on or just be tossed in the drawer to get lost in the mix. When the probe is extended it turns on when the probe is closed it shuts off, on top of that if the probe is left open it will time out itself so you do not waste the battery. Speaking of batteries not only does it come with one in it, it comes with a spare as well. Sure the box has meat temps on it but if your are going to store it on the fridge or grill whats the use of that, but wait they got that covered too, its printed right on the back of the thermometer as well. As a grilling dad i fully recommend this for everyone.

It cannot get any easier to use than this thermometer. To turn it on you just pull out the probe from the side of the unit. To change between C and F you just push the button. To keep the temp reading still so you can read it as you pull it out you click on the Hold button. It even has a meat temp scale..great for me because I can never remember what temp equals what finish for the meat, great feature.The unit even comes with a spare battery. I highly recommend this thermometer, it makes grilling and cooking in the oven very easy.

I gave this item 3 Stars because it has Pros and Cons: The Pros: It has a large window screen which makes it easy to see the temperature. Also, it quickly read’s temperature, and it is sturdy. The Cons: It is a bit difficult to set it up initially and to calibrate it. Also, it is top heavy, so it doesn’t stand up straight in a thin piece of chicken and other meats. I think there are other types that are easier to use.
