my body functions much better, I feel better
I have tried many different forms of Vitamin C, as I can tell that it's beneficial for my body and that I don't get enough from my diet, although I eat some fruit, I don't eat a lot since I'm very sensitive to sugar - I mostly just eat greens and meat. And the 100% RDA that's in my multivitamin doesn't seem to come close to being enough. I think our bodies need extra C to detox all the chemicals we come into contact with or ingest on a daily basis. I notice that with extra C - 1-2 grams a day, my body functions much better, I feel better, less fatigue, better outlook on life, and my hair, skin and nails seem to improve as well. Last but definitely not least, it improves my digestion a lot as well. I was bothered that it seems like the human body (mine at least) needs SO much more of a certain nutrient than I can get from food, even considering the stress and toxicity of modern living - it just doesn't seem natural. So I did some research on it, and found out that all other mammals except for the guinea pig produce their own vitamin C from glucose. Human beings do not, probably due to a genetic mutation that occurred thousands of years ago. It's an odd explanation, but the only one that really makes any sense to me. Much more so than trying to eat massive amounts of fruit which wreaked havoc on my body from all the sugar and acidity. So I started out trying to find the best form of Vitamin C that I could take in high doses to get the benefits without problems.I started out with Ascorbic Acid, and that didn't go so well, I quickly became overacidic like when I ate too much fruit. Then I tried Vitamin C buffered with calcium, magnesium and potassium. This tasted terrible and still left me acidic and not feeling great. I tried Ester-C and that worked pretty okay, but I felt like the vitamin C just wasn't as bioavailable, it just didn't seem to have the effects on my skin, hair and nails I was hoping for unless I took 5-6 pills a day and at that amount, it got expensive and even worse, seemed to stop up my plumbing, so to speak, and that wasn't going to work.I then tried Liposomal Vitamin C, which was very expensive and really wasn't all that impressive to me, until I tried Lipospheric C - that did seem to work very well, but the cost became prohibitive - at $1/packet and me taking 3-4 packets a day...it was too much. I did use it after a surgery I recently had, and the cost was justified, but on a normal daily basis, it's just too much. After that, I had the idea to try a natural source, because in general, I do like to take supplements as close to their natural source as possible, so I decided to try this Camu Camu powder. I mix it with Mezotrace Mineral powder as a natural buffer, and it works wonderfully!I am very happy with this combination of Camu Camu and Mezotrace - I'm able to take large amounts of Vitamin C, but from a natural source, which also probably includes beneficial, health-enhancing phytochemicals that we don't even know about yet along with the Vitamin C, and buffering it with the Mezotrace (natural minerals mined from Nevada) keeps it from being too acidic on my body. I drink this mixed into water every morning and I think it works the best of all the Vitamin C I have tried, even better than the very expensive Lipospheric C. The mixture doesn't taste wonderful, but you could probably mix in in a smoothie or juice and it would be a lot better. I just mix it in water because I don't want the extra sugar in a smoothie or fruit juice, but if that's not an issue with you, I'd definitely mix it with something to improve the taste. It's not awful, but it's certainly not tasty either. I just drink it down quick, like a large shot. The benefits of how I feel are so worth it.

I love this powder and it makes fruit smoothies a lot more awesome!
I always add this to my smoothies and it makes them a lot more fruity, or tangy I guess. Plus, it seems to give me an energy boost compared to just having a fruit smoothie without it.Here's an excerpt about Camu-Camu from the site Pure Healing Foods:"Camu camu is a low-growing shrub found throughout the Amazon rain forests of Peru and Brazil. It produces a lemon sized, light orange to purplish red fruit with yellow pulp. This fruit is packed with more natural vitamin C than any other food source recorded on the planet, in addition to beta-carotene, potassium, calcium, iron, niacin, phosphorus, protein, serine, thiamin, leucine, and valine. These powerful phytochemicals and amino acids have a surprising range of therapeutic effects. Camu camu has astringent, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, emollient and nutritional properties.Benefits of Camu Camu:Vitamin C - more than any other food!(1/2 teaspoon of powder provides more than 400% the Daily Value!)Strengthens immune system.High in anti-oxidantsBalances Mood - effective and safe antidepressant.Supports optimal function of nervous system including eye and brain functions.Provides arthritic protection by helping reduce inflammation.Anti-viralAnti-hepatitic - protects against liver disorders, including liver disease and liver cancer.Effective against all forms of the Herpes virus (i.e. Epstein-Barr, Mononucleosis, cold sores, etc.)Camu Camu Powder is about 15% Vitamin C by weight. In comparison to oranges, camu camu provides 30-50 times more vitamin C, ten times more iron, three times more niacin, twice as much riboflavin, and 50% more phosphorus."http://www.purehealingfoods.com/camuInfo.php

Excellent product
I did some research on which camu camu to purchase and this one came out on top.The taste is quite tangy but not offensive in any way. It does not mix well with water but I still use it that way with organic apple cider vinegar and sometimes add a packet of organic stevia. Even without the stevia, it tastes fine. This is potent stuff!! I use only three fourths the dose of 1 teaspoon a day and divide it up to a quarter teaspoon at 3 meals during the day. Even this reduced amount gives me about 850% of the RDA and makes the 20 day supply last about 30 days. And, this type of Vitamin C will be better absorbed and better utilized by body, or so I have read. After using it for about 2 weeks, I have noticed a subtle sense of overall well being. From studies I have read, Vitamin C is not only good for avoiding colds and the flu but affords numerous benefits to the body. Among other things, it helps to keep the liver healthy, supports good bacteria in the gut, removes heavy metals, protects against pollution, etc., as well as being able to cross the blood brain barrier to enable the brain to function more effectively as well as protecting it.

Won't really know it's even in the smoothy......
This stuff is great. It blends into anything you want it to. 100% Organic and the minimal packaging is a plus for us. Raw, Vegan and Non-GMO with immunity boosting essential amino acids and high in antioxidants. It is an excellent source of Vitamin C. Tastes good too, unlike some things you add to a smoothy that can make it chaulky or sour. We add this to our morning smoothies. Resealable package is handy and works like a ziplock bag. Highly recommended.

Camu camu
Dislike the size, its way smaller than what I expected, but the quality of the product itself is good
