ChacoWomen's ZX/1 Cloud Outdoor Sandal

I bought these back in June after my 3 year old pair of heavily used and abused Chaco's finally bit the dust.I was hesitant to spend $109 on shoes, I typically don't- but I was impressed by the longevity of my last pair. Everyday use, typical wear and tear but interspersed with heavy hiking/water sports.These arrived and I was overjoyed by the look and the quality. There seemed to be minor differences from my last pair but- I would expect that after 3-4 years of model updates. However after 3 months, I noticed the bottom of the soles were beginning to show wear and today I noticed it literally split. I'm extremely disappointed. Perhaps these are fakes? Maybe they're not but either way this is certainly not what I expected after 6 months of wear and tear on a $110 pair of shoes designed for the outdoors and heavy use. I'll reiterate, my last pair lasted 3 years with HEAVY use before they even got close to this point and even then- they didn't split like this.

Love/hate these. Comfortable right out of the box. I wore these while gardening throughout the weekend in the rain. The straps started biting into my skin and causing super painful abrasions, but my skin was also wet for a prolonged time and more vulnerable, I think. The following weekend, wore these camping & kayaking. Again, on/off wet/dry conditions and the wet straps caused irritation so bad that I had to wear socks. Weekend 3: great on day 1. Rain & mud again. I washed off all the mud with soap and water, as I had done the each time they got overly dirty, but this time the straps and rubber started developing a funk like wet dog. I set them indoors in a warm, dry place for about 9 hours, but the straps were still wet and the stink actually got worse. Again, washed with soap and water, then gave 'em a heavy spritz of Lysol. It seemed to improve things a bit but it was still embarrassing so I wrapped them in newspaper before tucking them into my bag and washed them AGAIN at my next destination; the beach, where some saltwater splashed up onto the Chacos. Oh boy, that was it. That saltwater activated the foulest stench of all. Stinky feet has NEVER been an issue for me, and I have a very active outdoorsy lifestyle. I thought Chacos were made for adventure? Olfactory adventures in stench is more like it! Once home from the beach, I soaked these fu¢kers in a bucket of heavily-bleached water for 3 hours. Now they smell like wet dog and bleach. Really wanted to love these. Would have loved these, but dayum, these kicks pick up a stink and never let it go.

Now that's what I'm talking about! This kind without the toe strap is the way to go! I loved the pattern that I got with the tow strap but wow it was horrible wearing them! If you are willing to spend a few weeks breaking in a pair of sandals in addition to sending them into the company to get straps shortened and tow straps fixed, I applaud you. I don't know about you though, but I kind of like my big toe and prefer for it not to swell up and resemble an eggplant after a 15-minute walk!These are comfortable out of the box, the straps stay put, and the color is awesome! Yay to keeping appendages where they belong and not losing a toe on the trail 😉

I wear a 6 1/2 in most shoes, but a 6 in most boots. I also have narrow/skinny feet. I bought a 6 and they fit perfectly. If you have smaller, narrow feet and are a 1/2 size, I would recommend buying a size down.

Rough, broken and uneven stitching on all four heel strap support ribbons causing hot spots and sore skin which would lead to broken skin if continued to wear these. I've been buying Chacos for longer than a lot of you have been alive - never had any problems with rubbing or blisters. I loved the style and color and they fit well. Obviously, the contractor is not using quality thread or proper inspection. Too bad. Will not be purchasing Chacos any more.

Buyer beware! The sandal in the picture is not the actual "askew angora" color, and the sandal I received also has a back strap.

I love these shoes! These are my first pair of Chacos, and I now KNOW I'll be buying more in the future! These are so comfortable, and the perfect summer shoe for walking, as well as a great water shoe! I highly recommend these over the ones with the toe strap, they are much more comfortable while still feeling tightly strapped.

These are my second pair of Chacos, and my first with the regular sole and straps (first were leather). I love these and wear them for every walk, and I walk two or three miles a day in the summer. PROBLEM: these hurt the pinky on my right foot, and I have to tuck it outside the strap. My husband has worn chacos for yeeeeaaars and he tried adjusting the straps every which way, but nothing has helped except just gently tucking my pinky toe outside of that strap. After that fix these are my favorite summer shoe for walking and hiking. I’ve actually done four months of archaeological fieldwork in socks and chacos, including daily survey hikes, excavation, and general use; other than the danger of uncovered toes, I swear by Chacos for arch support and stability. Cured my plantar fasciitis.

Until I discovered these sandals, I had spent so much money trying to find comfortable sandals. Very few sandals come in a wide width and have the support of orthotics. These are perfect for me, now please bring them to more Canadian stores!

Chacoサンダルは3足目ですが、ZクラウドXは初めて。歩いてみると説明通り、クラッシックよりフットベットが柔らかいように感じます。歩きやすさは折り紙つき。手持ちのZX3クラッシックが302g、ZクラウドXは275gで、ZクラウドX方が少々軽いようです。

普段は23.5cmを履いています。今回は23.0cmで正解でした。違うメーカーの物を24.0cmで購入しましたが余りにデカ過ぎて買い直しにこちらのCHACOを発購入しましたが間違いなく良かったです。これからのマストアイテムになりそうです。

前回は23㎝で、良かったのに今回は若干大きい様に思います。靴系は難しいです(*≧∀≦*)
