Solid rack
It installs easy enough. I have an electric vehicle so I am concerned about loss of range. It’s aerodynamically shaped but it does make noise at speeds over 50. Any roof rack would though. I’m happy and it looks sleek up top.

Mounting and Engineering Challenges: Round Cross Poles on my camper roof top.
Big roof rack that will take up most of the top of my camper shell.I have the track system on top with the old style yakima anchor bases that have the round cross poles. This rack comes with some decent mounting brackets but are engineered for the more common flat cross beams. The rack/basket arrives disassembled in four main pieces. Instructions/assembly are easy enough. However, when when you assemble the rack/basket the middle pieces don't actually "plug" into the bottom of the baskets cross pieces. Instead they give you a couple of metal plates to sort of join together the middle of the basket/rack. Surprisingly the metal plates do a good job securing the baskets bottom cross pieces together and the sides of the rack/basket "plug into" each other.. Each side connection is secured by one screw at each connection with rubber sleeves that slides over the screw connections. After all the screws, plates and sleeves the rack/basket is surprisingly sturdy and almost feels like it is one piece.I will have to engineer a mounting solution for mounting to my round, cross poles (none of the included mounting hardware will work for the round cross poles). It looks like u-bolts (two per corner/side/total 8 u-bolts) will be a solution. Need to make sure you get the correct ID/width and length (for u-bolt) as well as lock washer and wing nuts for facilitating removal.UPDATE:Bought these:Therwen 16 Sets Round U Bolts Zinc Plated Steel M6 Round Bend U Clamp with Nut Plate Washer (M6 x 34 mm x 75mm)........use two per corner and work perfectly. Just wish they were black instead of silver/zinc plated... Maybe a little spray paint will suffice.

Mounting brackets suck
I’ve read other reviews that said rust starts to form on this and leaves marks on the vehicle so I fixed this while assembling.I used some heat shrink tubing that has glue on the inside instead of the provided rubber bushings. I assembled everything together before I started heating up the tubing. Then shrunk everything down.I’m not a huge fan of the way the middle of this is assembled. It leaves the end of the tubing exposed where water can get in so I put heat shrink over the ends, shrunk everything down. Then put the plate on. Looks like it should keep water out now.I’ve used this style of roof rack before and unfortunately the mounting brackets suck when mounted on a 01 Chevy Tahoe. The bolts are way too long and you can’t tighten them down very well. Since the brackets don’t work with my vehicle I’m going to just make my own that can withstand what I’m wanting to put up top. (Jerry can and a 5 gal tub of water) plus other things. If you plan to put a hard plastic container on top watch out and make sure you aren’t putting them directly on top of the mounting bolts, you can punch holes right through.Good priceGood amount of spacePaint job seems decentOverall I give a 8/10

It fit the bill
Worked great for a trip from CO to AZ. We didn't have a ski rack on our car, just rails, and this was prefect to hold our large luggage bag. Not that complicated to install, just a little awkward to get it up on the car with a step ladder. Not hard to uninstall it though. Would recommend and would buy again.

Nice quality good price
The media could not be loaded. On first impressions well built seems strong thick metal I think they could have made the center support a few more inches to tie into the two end pieces to give better support in the center but over all I am happy

Low profile, minimal noise, fair price. I recommend.
Just came back from a 2,200 mile road trip, this rack was flawless. Another review mentioned it beginning to rust, therefore greased all connections and screws during the assembly. This should somewhat slow down the chemical reaction. I was at or either just over the weight limitation, and had no issues. The wind faring really helped out with noise, when empty hardly can to tell the rack is there. when installed, the rack sits a fraction of a inch above the crossbars. I highly recommend for light use. For me, someone that may use it a few times a year, this is exactly what I needed.
