Too expensive when compared to disposable masks of similar quality
This facemask appears to be well made and come in a tissue-style box that makes it quite easy to dispense a fresh mask each day. They are comfortable to wear for prolonged periods and are easy to breathe through when sitting or walking around. The elastic ear loop is as effective at keeping the masks in place as the Class 2 clinical masks I use in the operating theatre. I was not impressed that the wire at the top of the first mask I tested had its wire a long way off centre, but the other masks were unaffected.Homedics is a well-respected brand which will give confidence in these uncertain times. The key question is why you would buy a non-medical mask for 80p, when the medical version is actually 20p cheaper and meets the Class 2 standards for filtration that I use when treating patients in hospitals? There is no difference in terms of comfort or ability to breathe easily. The World Health Organisation recommend that those over the age of 60 or with underlying health conditions should wear medical grade masks. They also advise that, in areas of widespread transmission of COVID 19 where it may not be possible to achieve a 1 m social distance, the general public should be advised to use non-medical, fabric masks. There is no mention of using non-medical, disposable masks such as these. We all have to carry masks with us when entering shops or public transport or we will be refused admission. The only benefit that I can see in using these non-medical grade masks is that they do not give a false sense of security and will put emphasis back to hand hygiene and avoiding touching your mouth, nose and eyes, which is far more important. However, the major problem remains that they are just too expensive. I have bought other disposable, non-medical masks of similar quality and specification from Amazon for 13 p each, making them cheap enough to dispose of on a daily basis.

high quality
HoMedics Non-Medical, Single Use Masks - Protective, Three Layer Disposable Face Mask are for me a suitable alternative to other masks I have purchased locally. The fact they have three layers of protection which are shown by the simple quality of each mask is for me not only mentally making me feel protected in today's world where masks are a necessary part of daily life.I found these masks comfortable to wear even in a hot supermarket. The ear loops were comfortable, and the main mask was protective, yet I was able to breathe freely. These are a high-quality disposable mask which is shown in the price. The fact that that you get fifty masks per pack makes it a pack of masks which will last when others have fallen apart.High protective masks due to the three layers which mentally provides me with the necessary protection in today's virus fearful world.Happy to recommend.

Comfortable disposable masks
I've tried various non-medical face masks in the last few months, and these are probably the best ones so far. They're obviously not surgical masks, but they should help prevent me from infecting anyone inadvertently, and offer a small measure of protection to me in turn. They follow the typical pattern of blue on the outside, white on the inside. The pleats on the blue side are folded down so fluids are less likely to be caught in them. With some other disposable masks, I've noticed that the adhesive connecting the straps to the mask can be quite weak - not so with the Homedics masks so far. The straps themselves are soft and stretchy enough to be comfortable for long term wear. The mask offers good coverage and doesn't open up at the sides or top. The nose clip is strong enough to keep it quite tight. These are probably the best disposable masks I've tried so far, albeit with a price to match.

Happy...
...with these masks which seem to me to be exactly as described and I have tried a few that were not up to this standard.Happy to accept that they have 3 layers of protection - Featuring a protective antibacterial fabric outer later, a particle prevention middle layer that filters out bacteria and an extra soft, breathable interior layer to absorb exhaled mist.Happy with the ability to make them fit and stay in place - Use the adjustable nose clip to create a custom fit around your nose and the comfortable elastic ear loop to secure in place. The folded design makes for easy breathing.Happy that they can be individually put into a sandwich bag and I can carry a couple of spares around with me because these masks really should only be used once to be safe.Happy to use these as and when needed for everyone's benefit - especially when shopping etc.I was supplied with this product free of charge for giving an honest review which I feel I have done.If this feedback/review has helped in any way please be kind enough to click on 'Helpful' or 'Comment'.Thank you for reading my Feedback.

Decent masks
These are decent disposable masks. They fit quite well and the top edge has a pliable strip inside it which you can 'mould' around your nose to help close up the gap. They are quite comfortable to wear as masks go. The more durable reusable one I have been using is not so comfortable and I tend to get my glasses steamed up using it, something which doesn't seem to be a problem with these.Although deemed disposable, I would want to get some reuse out of these; if you've been using one for hours you'll want to get a new one next time, but if only using for 10-15 minutes tops at a time as I do I can't see that there would be any problem with multiple re-use.These look almost identical to (other non-medical) ones which Mrs E. L. Wisty had issued to her, as were issued to all non-medical NHS staff like her, which is possibly a good sign that these are reasonably fit for purpose. No, they're not going to stop viral particles, but the point of Joe Public wearing masks like this is to reduce spread by exhalation and subsequent inhalation of the much larger aerosol particles which might carry them. They do seem on the expensive side compared to other brands, but I don't know if this is reflective of better quality.
