I loved it and want more
A great set of stories full of interesting characters rooted in Filipino mythology. There is not enough of this type of content out there! Tik Balang, the White Lady, Asawng, loved it. Some people do not care for black and white graphic novels, I am one of them. But in this case, the contrast lends to the story and gives it a very classic noir kind of feel.

A Horror and detective series in one
I love art style. The drawings are unique and new to me. The introduction to Filipino folklore has me wanting more. The animated series on Netflix introduced me to this comic. Can’t wait for more of both.

Sons is addicted now
My son really enjoyed this and has asked for more. He usually finds it challenging to engage in reading with his autism and adhd combination. If these can hold his attention then I’m sure everyone would love them. Thank you so much for selling these they brought him a great joy

Filipino horror mythology
I didn't think I'd ever read a US released book about detecting filipino horrors but here we are.I'm obviously biased to support something that is rooted to my child home and country of origin but I do think this is an interesting premise with creatures every different from what we're used to.I do wish the writing was a wee bit better. I'm not sure if it's mostly due to the monster of the week vibe but I was looking for something a bit deeper. I hope we get a lot more stories in this since I think Metro Manila is such a fanatic setting with how old and weird and urbanized and mishmash of cultures. This make me really interested for the next volume and checking out the Netflix show.

Thumbs up
I initially just bought this to familiarize myself with the story in anticipation of its tv adaptation on Netflix. As a supporter of the Filipino VA Liza Soberano, I also love the book, my kids also loved it. Excited for vol 2 and 3. Thumbs up.

Great, Dark Fun!
The Filipino manga on which the Netflix anime series is based, Trese is a series featuring a young woman named Alexandra Trese - whose job is preserving the balance between our world and The Other (my words).Set in contemporary Manila, Volume One contains four stories - all unique and based on Filipino mythology, with a dash of police procedural and a tone influenced by many sources but, notably, Kolchak: The Night Stalker and X-Files (with a dash of CSI).Each story is followed by a few pages from the files of Trese's late father, Alexander, and provides background on the various mythological entities we encounter in those stories.Great, dark, fun.

Worth the wait!
Awesome graphic novel! The art is fantastic and it takes you through the story seemlessly! Bought this for my husband and he loves it, he's half-pinoy, half-german and is fascinated with filipino folklore, so this is the perfect gift for him. I love how the folklore itself is integrated into a modern-day Manila murder mystery. A pretty good read! Hope the next volumes will be available here too.

Could've been good... if not for this supplier :(
The comic itself is good but the copy I got was all wrinkled and appeared worn-out. Looks like they gave me a used one instead of a new one which I ordered. Hey @Amazon, hope you do something about this.

About this comic book
I gave this 4 out of 5 stars because.Look I love the stories of trese and the art work but the problem is that this comic book doesn't have any content number pages on it paper below like other manga out there.I dont have a problem on paper page itself but where is the page number on below the paper.I hope when the vol.2 come out this problem is solve just saying.
