Lovely story, read and enjoy
This has to be my favourite Katie Flynn book, I have read it many times over the years. The story of the child Kitty growing and turning into a fine young woman despite all odds is always heartwarming. There is a second storyline running alongside but I won’t give any spoilers. I usually give my read paperbacks to the charity shops but not this one, it’s a keeper. Read and enjoy.

FANTASTIC STORY
I didn't realise until I started reading that it was a follow on from Liverpool Lass (another book that was a brilliant read) to hear how Nellie and Lilac progressed and then young Kitty was so exciting I just could not put this book down. Just wondering if Katie Flynn has done a follow on from Girl from Penny Lane so we can read how they all got on including Nellies son Richart who she gave away. If anyone knows if there is a follow on I would be over the moon also to hear how Lilac got on with Joey - there is so much more to know

Another Katie Flynn Bombshell
Katie's research is impeckable, the period writing is right on ,England ,Australia ,the time in history ,is so very accurate .This is one of several of her books I have read ,and I love all.

The girl from penny lane
This book had a previous book, so was hard to pickup the story line and the characters, but was a good tale of the struggles of life in the slums of Liverpool ,. between the 1st and 2and world wars The only grump was that the end , was as if she had a limit as to finish the story within the word limit, it felt as if she had a not finished the whole tale
