Such a clever idea. Most buy this to ensure safety of their children, I bought them to keep my cat in or out!! My cat, a Bengal, opens doors so now I can keep him out of anywhere I don't want him to go! I haven't fitted them yet but will do that over the weekend. I ordered three not realising they were two in a pack which is a bonus as now I can ban him from the bedrooms or living room without having to jam something under the door handle. The only thing I am unsure of, and the instructions didn't say, is how long to leave the adhesive pads in place for them to 'take'.

FINALLY!After a couple of failed attempts at installing a safety lock to contain our dog, when bringing in the shopping, I've finally found a winner!We originally wanted to install a metal lock, but the old vintage doors seem to be a false wood material and I didn't have much hope for them not crumbling apart when drilled. But two other variants of baby proofing locks had snapped after light dog encounters.I had almost given up hope, but decided to give this one a final try- and I'm so glad I did!This is such a strong and sturdy safety lock, the sticky pads are incredible. I ensured I followed the directions and thoroughly cleaned and prepared the area before fitting. But within seconds, it was rock solid attached to the door. The handle has ZERO movement when locked, which means theres a lot less chance of it snapping due to the handle flailing around, it's absolutely great!I now want to purchase these for every door, just to ensure some peace and quiet for myself!

The back is not sticky at all , came off the door with barely any pressure applied by my 2 year old toddler

The only door lock that worked for me. My daughter can't open this at all.
