OSD Weatherproof 6.5” in-Ceiling Single Stereo - Dual Tweeter Speaker - ICE600TTWRS

I purchased these in wall Speakers to mount in the Ceiling for my Home Theatre -Projector Set up to go with my Denon 5.1 System.The speakers perform well - in the limited use - about 2 weeks and installation was easy. I expect them to last based on the other reviews I read about them.And they were very inexpensive as well - $98 for 4 speakers - Amazon had a deal!

They sound awesome! I only have my amp pushing 1/2 volume and I think they are great for the average person just wanting to listen to music thru the house. I put 1 speaker in all the rooms of the house and hallways. Perfect!

Bought this to replace a 10 year old Parasound C65 that went bad. At $70 for a pair, I didn’t expect much from the OSD compared to the $350/pr Parasounds. But I thought I might scavenge the OSD for parts to make the Parasound work again. Got lazy/busy and just removed the Parasound altogether and installed OSD, which was a perfect fit. Much to my surprise, the OSD sounded just as good as the Parasound! This is a great in-ceiling speaker for a fantastic price!

We tested the speaker in a outdoor enclosure and a three foot overhang on a house. In both cases the sound was boomy in the upper bass and lower mid range and the tweeter was on the tinny side. This speaker needs a more elaborate crossover to filter out these problems The instructions it came with showed two adjustment switches for lows and highs but they didn't exist on the speaker !!Build quality was fairly good.

Ordered these to put in the ceiling of our outdoor covered deck. Well-packaged. Installation was pretty easy. Only challenge is removing the grill cover without damaging it. I was successful using a fine-tip screwdriver to work out one side, then another, then it came out easily. The cover re-installed easily once the speakers were mounted.PERFORMANCE: I'm driving these as Zone 2 from my high-end Yamaha receiver. Sound is pretty good -- but not great. The bass is good, mid-range is OK, but the highs are just a little tinny. This becomes more noticeable at higher volume levels.CONCLUSION: For the price, I consider these a good value. If I were doing it again, I'd consider higher-end speakers for better sound reproduction.

The quality and sound were what I was looking for. I also purchased this companies "rock" speakers and garden subwoofer. All good value

I bought and installed these speakers five years ago in a porch ceiling. it's a harsh environment here in Florida where the salt air gets to most things. The speakers worked reliably and delivered good sound until just recently when one speaker quit, I removed the speaker expecting to find a rusted mess, but visually the speaker looks fine, except for rust on the metal ring that holds the membrane. Still, the working parts of the speaker seemed intact, so I cannot tell why the speaker failed. The speakers are currently not available, so I don't know if I will by another one to replace it (have to buy the pair) or shop around.
