Purchased to trim my long haired cat who loves sleeping outside and comes in with sticks and thorns in his fur. Tried other trimmers but the noise made him nervous and aggressive - as Pets at Home discovered.So I decided to search for some quiet hair trimmers, these are not as loud as someone talking, he is aware of them but not bothered by them.I started off by turning them on and just stroking him with the handle end, then went to work on one of the fur lumps. By gently touching the clippers off and on the lump of hair it easily cut and fell away.Very impressed with ceramic cutter its soft and only cuts hair between the metal comb - I used it without any of the plastic combs that you would use to trim longer hair. In removing thick lumps of hair you must not push or force the blade use it as a saw to gradually cut the hair away .

Nicely packaged and a good quality hair clipper. It is safe to use on baby, my child is 11 months. I clipped my baby's thick hair with ease. Although he was frightened by the noise of the trimmer, but he will overcome that fear after a few uses, i know it. It's not a problem, the sound is low. Overall happy with purchase and i recommend it.

Good little clippers, handy that they are rechargeable so you aren’t restrained by the cord. Says ‘silent’ in the title, and although they are quieter than your average clippers they are definitely NOT silent and my toddler still goes crazy when he needs his hair cut! I only bought these because they were described as being silent; else i would not of got them.

It worked for us as my son had a big issue with hair clippers. Quite silent and worked well on my son s thick hair. Would recommend

I've had clippers before.. but this one unfortunately didn't give me the same even finish despite using same technique. I feel for babies this would be perfect as it is quiet and gentle.. but not so much for kids up to 12 as advertised.

A good clipper. Useful, sturdy and washable. I like it and use it often. It has a little sound but my son is ok with it. I am happy with my purchase

Bought these clippers to use on my rabbit to keep her 'nether regions' mat free. They are so quiet and work really well on shorter rabbit fur. Would definitely recommend them.

This product is most definitely not silent, even after my sons hair was brushed it still tugged. I'd hoped to use this on my son who's very scared of hairdressers. No chance. Had to put 1 star to submit but doesn't deserve.
