IT WORKS!!
I HATE cleaning bathrooms with a passion, so much so that I've avoided "cleaning" the bathtub for 3+ years. But, after some nagging from the spouse, I bit the bullet and took the plunge earlier tonight. In the past I've used numerous home remedies (backing soda/vinegar), Method, Comet, and even the Mr. Clean Regular Magic Erasers to no avail. However, after some browsing on Amazon of best sellers and reading other reviews, I decided I'd give it a shot. Here's what I found:NEGATIVES#1: It's not an easy wipe.Let's be clear. If you have soap scum, mildew, mold, and who knows what else that's been lingering there for any pro-longed period of time, the eraser is NOT going to work like in the product video, i.e., you're going to need to scrub and add some elbow grease. A small"ish" type shower/tub combo took me 2 hours of solid scrubbing.#2: It can take more than 1.These things aren't made to last forever. I went through 3 erasers while cleaning my bathtub, and yes, they do dissolve quicker/faster depending on the type of surface that you're scrubbing. The rougher the surface, the faster it'll be. I went through the first eraser in about 20 minutes while scrubbing soap scum and grout, but the third eraser lasted a little less than an hour.#3: The smell can get annoying. For me, the first eraser was fine, but after the second and third, I had to ventilate the bathroom. While it's not off-putting, it's definitely not as appealing as others products that I've used, Method Grapefruit comes to mind.#4: It costs more than twice the price of the regular erasers.POSITIVESIT WORKS. My bathtub has never looked better, expect maybe when I first purchased it. The soap scum and mildew actually came off. There's still some mildew stains underneath the grout and water spots that couldn't be removed (see the after picture), but it otherwise looks FANTASTIC. The tub is smooth, the pink mildew is gone, and I don't feel squeamish about taking a shower.Would I use the Magic Clean Bath Erasers again? DEFINITELY. While cleaning the tub still isn't on my list of favorite things to do on a Saturday night, there was something oddly gratifying about watching your handiwork and seeing years of grime be scrubbed away. (And also a little disgust at how things could have ever gotten so bad....)PS - If you've never used these before, make sure to "activate" the eraser, i.e., run the eraser under water, and then press down on the two light yellow spots to the sides of the eraser if it's laying flat (you'll feel a slight pop). There's a good photo on how to do this in the customer images. I'd also recommend using gloves. I used sterile surgical gloves and after about 30 minutes or so, whatever is in the erasers started discoloring them.

Amazing product
Like most others here, I came to this eraser with one thing on my mind: what ELSE can I try to clean up my mess of a tub? I saw positive reviews here and bought some. And they WORK.My normal strategy for tub cleaning has been to spray whatever onto the tub (cleaner with bleach, without bleach, citrus, you name it), let it simmer, hold my breath and dive in with a stiff bristle brush. Eventually, I'd work through the dirt (and presumably another few microns of the fiberglass tub itself for all the effort I was putting into it). It'd get mostly clean, but the soap tray came nowhere near it. There were also a few drip lines in the tub under the tray that wouldn't come out. Oh, and my arm would be jelly by the end of the ordeal.Enter these magic erasers. Some have said that they work great with a little elbow grease. Compared to my previous efforts with the brush, these do NOT require elbow grease. A few passes over an area of dirt at medium pressure and it's gone. You can even feel it -- when it's still got work it can do on a surface, you can feel it grabbing. When it glides right over, you know you're completely clean. Some tough spots require a little scrubbing, but maybe a minute of broad strokes across my tub pulled up the majority of the dirt. Then came the soap tray. This DOES take a little bit of elbow grease, but I eventually got through all of the soap buildup on it. The drip lines under it are still there, but given the rest of this eraser's performance, I'm thinking it is literally a stain in the tub itself. And so, with one eraser (this package comes with 4), my tub goes from brown to white. My hands don't smell like bleach (they actually smell pretty nice), and I didn't have to hold my breath while cleaning. So yeah, I'm always keeping these on my cleaning shelf from now on.

I'm obsessed with magic erasers!
I recently saw rave reviews of Magic Erasers on Pintrest and decided try them out. OMG - they really are magic! I cleaned a large plastic cooler in less than five minutes and it looked like it was brand new when I was done! A while back I tackled the cleaning of said cooler with 409 and a scrubby sponge and it looked marginally better after 20 minutes of serious elbow-grease. Magic erasers are like extremely fine-grain sand paper in sponge form. They remove things like crayon and surface grime from walls, clean mildewed and soap-scum covered tubs and tile in minutes and countless other difficult jobs that are often just too daunting to tackle. You do need to be careful what you use them on because the melamine grains can remove the finish from certain surfaces, so test it in a small area if you're not sure (the package lists the surfaces to avoid) and start gently. The bathroom and kitchen erasers become sudsy as you use them and probably have some disinfecting properties but the true magic is in the film removal - disinfecting is easy to do separately. The erasers start to deteriorate with use fairly quickly - I went through two of them just cleaning the hallway walls, but the cost was well worth it because when I was done the walls looked almost as good as repainting. Have fun!

Works great but flimsy
It's a good thing they came 4 per pk. They work GREAT on getting stains and marks from my tub and shower area but they didn't last very long. By the time I finished wiping down my tub and 1 wall, I noticed it had bits coming apart. Now the best part. I had an issue with pink mold sticking to 3 select spots in the shower for a while. Even after getting rid of the bath mat that made the mold grow faster, the mold still stuck around no matter how much bleach or mildew removers I tried. I also used a strong scrub brush and that just seemed to spread the mold. Just using water and the sponge, this sponge removed it so fast it was amazing. I hope the mold doesn't come back. If so, I have 3 more sponges ready. I dropped a star due to how flimsy they are but you get 4.
