Very handy device
I bought this product as my family and I were going away for the weekend and I didn't want my fish to starve. The instructions were not very clear but luckily setting it up is intuitive and you can watch videos of similar products online. I can't really rate battery life as yet because it is still too early. The only concern I have is I don't find it particularly the best with flakes. It works, but you have to do several tests to ensure you open the window wide enough to allow enough flakes to fall out due to the various sizes of flakes in the same bottle. It is also very quiet and I also like the fact that it has an option to do manual feeding and you can rotate it to fit the desired angle or placement on your tank. Overall I am happy with this product.

Unrealiable
Purchased for a trip we were going to be going on. I had tried a similar device previously and it didn't work properly so I paid extra for this one. I tested the feeder the week prior to our trip and was not pleased. Every feeding was completely different and inconsistent. One feeding would be correct the very next feeding was 5x the normal amount followed by only 1 piece of food being released. I didn't trust it and decided not to use it. Really wanted this to work but I didn't want to come home to dead fish. Can not reccomend.

There must be better ones out there...
I purchased this fish feeder in preparation of or kids' school vacation plans in February. I had plenty of time to get prepared on how to use it and boy did i need it. The box it came in had a paper foldout manual and it was pretty much useless. Nothing about this was intuitive to set up. Pressing and holding down buttons was slow and not responsive on the unit. The battery life died after 5 days with a set of new AA duracells. These batteries drain super fast and i would not recommend it if you need a feeder longer than that. The amount of food that is dispensed can be adjusted but the problem is that the food drum is not inclined so that food slides towards the hole. Once the food in the front is dispensed, the drum wont move any food towards the hole. There are a few fins inside that try to move the food forward, but unless you pitch the feeder at an angle, at some point your fish will starve. This is easily the worst purchase I have made on amazon and I would strongly recommend avoiding this product and anything similar made by random manufacturers.

Fantastic Feeder
It’s an awesome product. Now I can goAway and have peace of mind. It takes a little trial and error to get the right portion. I let it run into a paper plate until I am happy then I add a little bit of tape to hold the release door in the position that I tested and liked. The batteries last plenty long. I have only gone a couple of weeks. When I am home I will test how long the battery lasts at 2 feedings a day. I turn the device off when I am at home. My aquarium holds 6 glow tetras, a neon tetra and a catfish. I feed them flakes and the work perfectly in this device

Awesome feeder
Actually it's a good product. I did look at the reviews. The one review that caught my eye was the amount of food. So when I got it, I took a paper plate and played with the amount it took. It's all a matter of adjusting the feeding opening. Now it works great.

Works well
Purchased for when I was out of town. Tricky to get the right amount of food to come out. For me it was too much when I used it however this is not a product issue it was a user issue. If going out of town I would only feed once per day. Play with it and be sure it's dispensing what you need only. Happy with it.

Does what's advertised, gobbles up batteries
I went through 8 batteries in about a month or so, would have liked it to be powered via outlet but eh. It loses all of its settings when it dies too, so I'm constantly redoing the settings, would like to see some memory on it, just to store the options. I bought it for 24.99, it's listed for almost 70 dollars now, don't buy it for that price; honestly it's probably a 5 dollar pet feeder but personally I needed it immediately and it was the cheapest at the time. You could probably find better for that sort of money, but if it was cheap you can't really go wrong. It does what it says, if you can look past the options issue and batteries it works 👍
