3 seasons and tv movies left...
Dallas 11nth (dvd) season is still great and marks the beginning of the end of this show. From this season ratings begun to fell rapidly (the 11nth season was the first which was not in the nielsen's top 20 since the time of the 1978-1979 second season), and original cast members begun to flee from the show. This was the last season for steve kanaly and priscilla presley while victoria principal and susan howard were gone from the previous season. Next season will be the last for linda gray also. As far as ratings concerns, Season 11 was #22, season 12 was #30 and the last two seasons were out of the top 40 so dallas was canselled in may 1991 after 14 seasons. It was resurrected 5 years after in 1996 with the movie JR RETURNS and in 1998 we had the final installment called WAR OF THE EWINGS so in order to have the complete dallas dvd collection we wait for the last 3 seasons to be released together with the 3 tv movies (JR RETURNS, WAR OF THE EWINGS and the prequel 1986 movie THE EARLY YEARS). Until then enjoy the 11nth season which is still great full of scemes and a nasty as always JR...

Never Fails
As always, Dallas delivers the drama of the Ewings/Barnes in full flair. The shoulder pads, big hair and spandex days of the 80s bring back a nostalgic remembrance of times when capitalism ruled and money and who you know could buy anything. All of the actors play their roles so well, you hardly remember their "real" names. Brad Pitt was introduced in this series as Charlie's boyfriend. That brought back memories!

2nd Favorite Show EVER!
Born and raised in Dallas, this show conjures up TONS of childhood memories for me! One of those was watching it every Friday night with my family and having to go to bed before Dynasty. I own the entire series and LOVE the big hair, ridiculous earrings, shoulder pads, J.R.'s safari shirts (what were those about?!?!?), you name it!! FOREVER A CLASSIC!!!!! (My FAVORITE show ever is LOST!)

The year that the "seniors" got a chance to shine!
Warning: SPOILERS AHEAD!Of course, the star of the show was Larry Hagman as the devious J.R. Ewing. He was always given the best lines and the most memorable confrontations. However, season eleven, with the departure of a fan favorite, seemed to allow some of the older cast members, regular and recurrent, an opportunity to share some of Hagman's "spotlight".Barbara Bel Geddes and her on-camera husband Howard Keel really came to the forefront with a storyline about a presumed "affair" between Clayton and a much-younger woman, portrayed by English actress Annabel Schofield . The plot allowed Bel Geddes to really show her acting mettle, especially in the episode entitled "Farlow's Follies" wherein Miss Ellie falls into Sue Ellen (played as always by the flawless Linda Gray) territory by resorting to the bottle to "drown her sorrows".Not only does the season showcase Bel Geddes and Keel, it also lets recurring player Alice Hirson have a memorable "farewell" as Miss Ellie's best friend, Mavis Anderson, wife of popular "Punk" Anderson, played by veteran character actor Morgan Woodward. Also, John Anderson has a memorable run as Dr. Styles, a major stockholder in WestStar and the father of Kimberly Cryder (a stunning Leigh Taylor-Young), a woman who will stop at nothing to get the man of her dreams: J.R.Though the season is not as powerful as previous ones, it's still very entertaining, even with the lackluster Ray (Steve Kanaly) and Jenna (Priscilla Presley) problems with spoiled-rotten daughter Charlie (Shalene McCall), an ill-conceived attempt by a heretofore unknown aunt (played well by young Lisa Alden) of Christopher (Joshua Harris) to take him from Bobby (Patrick Duffy), and the rushed exit of Pam, played by an actress heavily wrapped to hide any resemblance to Victoria Principal who departed at the end of the previous season. Also, one surprise is the discovery of a future superstar in the role of "Randy", Charlie's boyfriend. The character's name is a not-so-subtle reference to his personality, by the way.As far as the quality of the DVD is concerned, this is probably the worst quality in the series. There are shifts in color, "dirty" and unclear images, and the sound isn't the best. Also, there are NO extras, a shame considering so many cast members are still alive and could offer commentary.

Tremendous Service
We have been following the entire series going back to season 1. We found an available copy of E-Bay and it didn't play. Someone suggested I try Amazon.com. I did and ordered a copy. I was surprised at how quickly the DVD arrived at our home. The DVD played perfectly.

Wife loves it.,
I bought her the entire 14 seasons and she watched it every evening and now she's moving on to Dynasty. However, she is currently watching first season of House of Cards. Since I don't like soaps I am awaiting the next season of Justified. But again, she enjoyed the series.

Dallas Season 11
The Dallas TV show was a 60 minute primetime soap opera drama series on CBS about a family that had created a dynasty out of the Texas oil industry. From the Southfork ranch, they wheeled and deeled in the business world and dealt with their personal lives involving love, affairs, jealousy and even hate. The series pretty much revolved around trying to outmaneuver others people both financially and personally and to keep others from doing the same to them.

Malice in Dallas
This series has a different feel, as the family mourns the loss of Pam and heralds a whole new beginning for Bobby. J.R. takes evil to a whole level in his bid to take over West Star from the hugely untalented Wilson Cryder (bring back Jeremy Wendell!!!!!!!!!!) and concots a scheme to get Christopher taken away from Bobby - talk about brotherly love!!!!!! Miss Ellie is devastated that Clayton's attentions have turned to a younger model called Laurel, and sinks her despair in booze. Talking of which, this is the series in which Sue Ellen really grows in strength. Gone is the voddy swilling and trips to the sanitarium and in walks Nicholas Pearce - a hottie in every way, with a shady past. April has nothing but trouble after aquiring her new found wealth. Cliff only has a backseat role in this series but he'll be back on form soon - don't worry about that. And finally, Poor old Jenna. She's married to Ray but is struggling with her obvious love for Bobby. And daughter Charlie turns into Kevin the Teenager, but the lucky girl does get to role in the hay with a lovely young fella called Randy - Brad Pitt!!!!!!!!!! This is an action packed 30 episodes and a must for real Dallas fans. Roll on Season 12 - bring on Lovejoy!!!!!
