Great for around the house and portable use.
The Telesteps ladder is great for use around the house. It's easy to move around, and set up. It's a good height to use inside, and is sturdy. It's nice that it can be used as both a step and extension ladder also. The fact that it extends makes it easier to get a long ladder in to tight spaces. One thing I don't like is that the ladder must be fully extended to be used. That is unfortunate, as it would be much more versatile if it could be used at multiple lengths.I regularly toss this in the trunk of my car to use at other locations, something I couldn't do with a traditional ladder.

If it's not made by TeleSteps then it's not a safe telescopic ladder
Received today this ladder and I must say that it's a piece of art! Whoever invented it is a genius! It works perfect, just as expected. Everything was designed in a very smart and safe way.I ordered before a different telescopic ladder made by Cren for $134 and it was a disaster! 3 people checked it out for 15 min, two of them got injuries on the fingers from ladder getting closed too fast and the 3rd person fall off of it cause one of the steps broke. So be careful when you buy one of this. It must be made by TeleSteps and yes it will cost about 2 times more than the other dangerous fake telescopic ladders. The only little minus that I found in this one, is that you can't open it half way or something like that. Meaning that you can't make out of it a 3 ft or 4 ft ladder. It's ether 6 ft or all the way folded. And BTW as reply to one of the other reviews:This model DOES exist on TekeSteps websitehttp://telesteps.net/combination-ladders/612tc-step-extension-combi-ladder/

The only telescopic ladder I trust as a home inspector!
The Telesteps Telescopic ladder is fantastic. It’s as sturdy as a telescopic ladder can be! Walk up it with confidence as you physically observe each rung is locked through its site glass on both sides of the ladder. With one locking mechanism it’s a breeze to use with no change of pinching your hand or fingers! If you want a compact ladder consider a Telesteps ladder. I do not trust any other brand or manufacturer!

Bad quality
So bad quality of everything. Plastic pieces are so thin. End Rubber-plastic caps are broken. Will never buy it again.

This is a STELLAR ladder! Do NOT be fooled by the cheap (dangerous) Chinese imitations.
This (German-built) ladder is stellar and FAR SUPERIOR to any of the cheap Chinese imitations. This ladder is easy to carry, simple to operate (1-pair of convenient latches an the whole ladder retracts smoothly), reliable, and well-constructed.For comparison, I used to have one of the cheap Chinese versions of this ladder. It was MUCH more of a hassle to operate and quite frankly dangerous. Every single rung had to be unlocked with 2 separate latches which you had to fight in order for them to function at all. Often the latches would appear locked when erecting the ladder but 1 or 2 unlocked while I was standing on it, forcing me to jump off before falling over with the ladder.

You get what you pay for, or so I thought.
Package arrived beat up. Bottom of ladder where you have to attach a section so it can stand was bent inward. I had to take pliers to it to try and knock out the bent in section and luckily was able to seat the section into the ladder. Hopefully the rest or the ladder isn't as jacked up as the shipping and bent piece...

Made in China, NOT Germany.
Just received ladder ... appears to sturdy enough and easy to operate. BUT note that this ladder IS made in China. Not Germany as the one reviewer stated. If the China ladders are really as cheap as stated by this reviewer it may be returned. Went to TeleSteps web site and this ladder is not in their product list. A knock-off? Not sure. I'll put it to the test this weekend.

I like the concept of the ladder
I like the concept of the ladder, being A-Frame or an extension. However, when carrying the ladder, it does not have a lock position to keep the ladder from sliding open. It would be a 5 star if it had a lock position.
