Excellent summary of his achievements so far
This is an excellent overview of Ed's career so far. I say 'so far', as I am sure he has a lot more to offer in the future if he wants to, incredible as that may seem given his achievements to date. I really believe he is a musical genius with song writing talent up there with Elton John and Paul McCartney. Songs such as Afire Love and The A Team, for example, are exceptional given how young he was when he wrote them. That said, he seems to have remained as grounded as he can in the circumstances. I was born, brought up and educated in Framlingham and am a frequent visitor there still and he has been a credit to the town and the area, actively supporting it in many ways. This book chronicles the hard work he has put in and the fantastic support of his family and others in getting to where he is now and it is richly deserved. He is the epitome of the saying 'the harder I work, the luckier I get'. Good luck to him.

Another hugely enjoyable, extremely interesting biography
In 2018, when Sean Smith published his biography of Ed Sheeran, who, at that point, was still touring for his 2017 album, ÷ (pronounced 'divide'), Ed was just twenty-seven years old. It is questionable as to whether somebody can truly have enough of a story to write a biography about so few years of their life, but Smith has done an excellent job with doing so. This book does not tell the story of Ed Sheeran's life with music woven throughout it, but rather it is the other way round. The most enjoyable part of this biography, for me, was that it was so intensely focused on the music. The book begins with the author detailing an Ed Sheeran concert which he attended on 24th June 2018. When I read this, I was overjoyed, as I had also seen Ed Sheeran on the same leg of his ÷ tour, just a few days prior to when Smith did, 15th June at Wembley Stadium. After the very first few pages of the prologue, I was hooked, because I felt that I could relate to the author and his experiences. However, even if you are not a fan of Ed Sheeran and his music, I believe that this book would appeal to you, too. Ed Sheeran: The Biography' is not just the story of Ed Sheeran, but also the story of a hard working boy who proved that an artist does not need big fancy record labels to make it to the big time - as of 2021, Ed has sold over 150 million records, and two of his albums are on the list of the bestselling albums of all time (X at #20 and ÷ at #34).This is another hugely enjoyable, extremely interesting biographical book from author Sean Smith, whose books have been translated throughout the world and have frequently topped the Sunday Times' Best Sellers List. I believe that it is the go-to for any and all fans of music, though those with a love of the musical genius that is Ed Sheeran.

His determination and hard work is outstanding
Fascinating: the man is a genius, but this came about through sheer guts, hard work and self promotion, aided by wonderfully supportive parents as the book carefully details.

Brilliant.
I loved this book from start to finish. Well researched and factual. I didn't want it to finish, maybe because I love listening to Eds music andWatching some of his radio interviews on youtube. He feels like part of my family.
