You get 2 boxes for the price so it’s less than £8 per box.One of the boxes appears to have a split in the wood of the lid but on closer inspection this is where two different pieces of wood have been used to make the lid, if they had been glued together it would have been something but they haven’t so in effect the lid does have a split and it opens up if you press down on the lid.[Like I said it’s cheaply made] but I only needed the one box for my project, the split one I’ll use for something where the split won’t matter.The other box sanded down well, it took a nice colour from the wood stain I used, and after varnishing it looks great.I lined it with felt and makes a great storage box for a chess set that I made.

I get theyre unfinished (wanted to decorate for gifts), but got a splinter almost immediately.

Lovely for craft I did decoupage on them

Very poor finish, the hinge screws in crooked to one box and would not open without some difficulty then when closed the lid is now crooked, due to strained hinge. They will be returned
