smooth metal so yarn slides nicely
I was just looking for this particular sized needles with a longer cord. I was not expecting no find my new favorite knitting needles. Metal needles can cause for your knitting to fall off the needles, but it you are a tight knitter like me, that can be beneficial. I also like the slip markers as well. You can open and close them with one hand, and they move the the next needle easily and don't get tangled in the yarn. If I need another set of needles or more slip markers, I know what I'm buying

Beautiful and well-made
I love how these needles look and feel. My stitches slide along nicely and the square shape of the tips makes them easier to hold.

Blunt point
I bought four different brands of stainless steel high quality size 5 interchangeable needles. I was most intrigued with these because of the square shaft on the needle. I like the bumpy square needle because it keeps the stitches from moving as much. As far as helping the hands, the only time I could "feel" the squareness of the needles is at the very beginning or end of the round. Being interchangeable needles with a cord means that most of the time the squareness is "hidden" under all the stitches, especially when knitting projects exceed 100 stitches in the round, like sweathers, shawls, blankets, etc. So...the squareness of the needles is rather useless for interchangeable needle applications - most of the time.I am a fast knitter who barely throws her yarn and works at the tip of needle. Therefore, I need a sharp point to work quickly. I also have project patterns that require knitting two or three stitches together. A sharp point is much more efficient. The sharp points also allow me to use the point to pick up a dropped stitch rather than use the crochet hook, which is also very convenient. The Addi needles seem to be the dullest point of all the high-quality needles I bought. So even though their connection to the cord is outstanding, for my personal needs, the point of the needle is of greater concern. Therefore, I will not be buying the addi interchangeable set. As an aside, the duller point is preferred by many many knitters, so please accept my review in light of my personal knitting style. The addi quality is outstanding. I have several fixed cord addis. I just wanted to try the square shaft, hoping the point would have been made sharper over the years.

Knitting a sweater, so far so good...
Received a few of these Addi Rocket2 [Squared] needles as a gift, along with a sweater pattern book. Was able to knit a 4-color sleeve (women's medium) on size US2 needles in about 4-5 hours while watching TV in the evenings, much quicker than I normally knit.If purchasing these needles, be aware that you may want to purchase a needle gauge made for Addi square needles. I found the markings on the needles (where the needle connect to the cord) difficult to read without lots of lighting. The square needles cannot be measured on the (non-Addi) needle gauges that I owned, so I ended up purchasing one.

Rocket2
I gave up all my other circular needles once I started using the Rockets. Got these very fast and started using them immediately. Makes knitting a real joy!

Love the Rocket2 - Skacel circular knitting needles!
The ease of knitting with a Skacel Rocket 2 is the best. The smooth finish allows for faster and still accurate knitting. It has just the right amount square shape to it without being so blunt that the yarn does not get tight and too snug. The cable is a good quality as well. It’s very pliable and attachment to the needle is strong and no parts sticking out to catch on the yarn as some brands do.

Square
I like these type of needle and have many of them. My problem is with the seller. The needles packaging looked like it was on a dirty floor and walked over by people. The needles aren’t cheap so they should handle the product better

Square Needles from Addi!
I find that using square needles are easier to hold with my problematic hands. I have used Kollage and Knit Pro Cubics Squared and KnitPicks Squared needles. Kollage DPN’s, as far as DPN’s are concerned my favorite with their sharp points and brushed metal surface. When it comes to circulars, Kollage joins are rough and I have had several needles come apart from the cord. Knit Picks square needles are pretty, but the points are short and dull. Knit Pro Cubic’s wood have splintered. The Nova Cubic Platina are very good…and now Addi has come along and blown all other square circulars out of the water. The Addi square needles have the sock rocket metal finish and turbo points. The surface has evenly space bumps and ridges that not only help hand fatigue but help your stitches stay neatly on the needle, helpful when knitting lace.If Addi makes these square needles as interchangeables, I will probably pick up some short tips in smaller needle sizes. The stitch markers included are cheap, plastic rubbish. The circular needle is worth every penny.

Not the regular Addi quality I am used to. Very disappointed.
The needles look fine but one of the joints is not smooth at all and pulls on my yarn when I slide it over. As an experimented knitter I own multiple other pairs of Addi needles and I expected the same quality I'm used to with the brand. Very disappointed.Note that if I had bought cheap needles, I'd be ok with a little bit of pulling but that brand is known for higher quality products and I was entertaining the idea they would be as good as the regular addi needles. They advertise smooth joints which is definitely not the case with the pair I bought.Quality is unacceptable for a pair of needles that cost over 32$.
