Inspiring, informative and beautifully written
Field of Dreams is an inspiring, informative and beautifully written book which I couldn’t put down once I started reading it. Bob Salisbury and his wife Rosemary deserve much praise for the work they have done in creating a magnificent wildlife haven as part of their home. Their knowledge of local flora and fauna is impressive and their love of nature is evident on every page. Having enjoyed Field of Dreams enormously, particularly the many witty anecdotes, I’m inspired to follow suit in my own relatively small garden and this book has given me lots of ideas. Thank you to Bob and Rosemary for showing such genuine care and respect to your local environment.

A delightful read.
An informative and entertaining read. Full of interest imbued with amusing anecdotes. Particularly interesting for anyone with an interest in wildlife and the flora and fauna of a local area. Hats off to their vision and tenacity, a fine example of what can be achieved .

Enjoyable
I enjoyed this book very much, it's well written and inspiring. I would have given it 5 stars but I didn't appreciate the condescending tone that crept in occasionally when Mr Salisbury was referring to some of his Northern Irish neighbours. There was a sense that he came over here and showed us how it's done. It's faint, but it's there and I found it irritating. Otherwise, a very good read.

Required reading
Heard about Field of Dreams as a recommended read in the Sunday Times. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. It's a wonderful real-life account of a couple who built a wildlife garden completely from scratch. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in environmental issues or the countryside - particularly the Irish countryside. Definitely required reading if you want some tips for your own garden.
