Contemporary Feminist Research from Theory to Practice

I’m just starting my dissertation in a Multicultural Women’s and Gender Studies program. I’ll use the book to inform my research project on contemplative practices in higher education. I’m only 10 pages in and already hooked. I really appreciate the intersectional framework and attention to the ways in which gender is nonbinary, fluid, coconstructed, performative, and different from sex and sexuality. I’m super excited to spend my weekend immersed in feminist research theory and practice.

EXCEPTIONAL BOOK!!! Thorough, well-written, and engaging. This book covers everything you need know to start doing feminist research and even provides food for thought for more experienced researchers. I love the attention to ethics, research design, and writing for different audiences. I also love the inclusion of cutting-edge digital practices and relatable, contemporary examples from Pulse night club to Pussy Riot. This would be a great book to teach with. The intersectional approach and use of non-binary language are musts these days.
