MPC Taco Trike (Trick Trikes Series) 1:25 Scale Model Kit, White (MPC893)

Simple fun build would buy again!!!

Fitment issues caused me to cut off top , scratch built trunk lid , rollbar and hood scoop. Engine details and paint pretty easy. Found headers in scrap pile. It's a decent model with some work.

Now I have the complete set. As described, new and still in plastic wrap

better than expected

Great model. Easy build.

Good model kit

Some of the bad things first: Low level of detail on parts. Seam lines will need quite a lot of work to smooth out and some parts will need to be filled in to get a really sharp look. Ejector pin marks in a few places that are difficult to sand. All not great, but these are all things that I would kind of expect with what looks like an older mold.The good stuff: Lots of options to make your build unique. Decals for at least 3 different styles. 3 different options for clear parts – clear, orange and purple. And a ton of really nice looking chrome plated parts. Combine these with a paint scheme of your choosing and there’s no reason your build couldn’t be a one-of-a-kind!One small, but cool thing about the kit is that the instructions – which are clear and well illustrated – include suggestions on when to paint sub-assemblies. That, combined with the simplicity of the model and all of the options to customize make it a good kit for young builders or someone that is new to the hobby.One star off for low quality molds, but apart from that, a recommended model kit!

I'm no professional modeler. Heck, I'm not professional at much of anything, but I do like putting together the occasional model, It does remind me of my younger days. This MPC Taco Trike (Trick Trikes Series) 1:25 Scale Model Kit reminds me of some of the outlandish vehicles that you'd see in some of the old Rat Fink cartoons. The kit is moderately easy to put together, the instructions are very clear, and have some good helpful hints to them. I wouldn't say this is a high-quality kit for someone that wants to make a photorealistic model. There are a lot of mold marks and a couple of seems that aren't exactly straight. but I'm sure that most of that isn't really a standout imperfection, as my modeling is not phenomenal either. It's a fun little kit to build.
