Low grade
Most padauk I have bought has been a brighter red like in the picture. The boards I received were more of a dull orange.

Great value, using for knife scales, a box and a cutting board
I am really glad this popped up as a suggestion. I was buying knife scale wood and had the 5 inch long pieces in my cart. This was about twice the price and about 8 times as much wood. 3/4 thick as opposed to 3/8 4 inch wide instead of 1 1/2. and 12 inches long instead of 5. I cut a couple pieces off, and didn't even resaw. I have so much left I'm going to use some in a box and some in a cutting board. Buy this pack. The wood looks just as good so I think the selection is nice also.
