Not bad, but not great either
I bought this laptop specifically to flash some software on other devices via usb. This very much is a budget and fairly low performance laptop and works perfectly for that purpose.Upon unboxing this laptop, I had to immediately wipe it and reinstall windows as the windows component store was corrupted. (Windows update didn't work, dism didn't work). After having this laptop for over a year, it hasn't blue screened once. The things I am not impressed with:I don't like the screen. It's just ok. It is the worst looking screen I own, with the least accurate colors. This alone would drive me to not recommend this laptop, and is currently a reason why I am looking to replace it.Touchpad: seems unsensitive and frequently doesn't pickup touches. No num lock indicator. The memory bandwidth of this laptop is not great and is quickly over utilized. In some compute intensive operations, GPU and CPU can only be ~50% utilized because of that. The amount of memory bandwidth on the system is better suited for a smaller cpu with less cores, or a less powerful GPU. It is well worth saving some money and buying this laptop with a lower end CPU or GPU which can better fit into the bandwidth limitations. The build quality feels cheap overall.

A nice upgrade from my older Asus Intel 4770 laptop.
Great design overall. Comfortable keyboard and touchpad. Great performance for gaming. Warframe gets around 200-300fps easily. I've been highly impressed with AMD processors I've built two desktops with them and they out perform Intel. Always research before you buy. It seems ASUS makes a great line of laptops and motherboards. I am always impressed with their products. This is a great value laptop for the price.

beauty
is in the eye of the Beholder. Read that novel. :) gifted this to my senior high school daughter and she is ecstatic. Keyboard is wonderfully colorful with LEDs. Screen is pretty good, colorful, but has bad viewing angles. I don't know how they get away with calling it IPS. Trackpad has two buttons, shockingly! Many newer laptops have "built-in"/hidden buttons - pay your attention to those little details! As for internals - you know, the powah! moar powah! Ryzen 5 4800 8 cores, Nvidia 2060 RTX, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD. It will get warm and fans will spin loudly, unless you set minimum CPU power state to 0, mine was 50%, so it was running hot even without any load! Also, later, when warranty expires, there are two MODs, I'm planning to do. One is to drill/chisel more holes in the plastic underbody. Another MOD is to apply better thermal paste. Both are easily doable. I highly recommend this lapee-topee!

Good value for good performance
I spent most of 2020 shopping around for laptops as I needed a notebook that had enough processing power for serious multitasking and multimedia.Shopping Newegg for months I was dissatisfied with most of the results for work laptops. Most notebooks offered around this price point either had a good processor and no dedicated GPU or had both but no room for expansion.I finally decided to look for laptops that had both which brought me to looking at introductory gaming notebooks where I found this unit.I decided to go with the 1TB NVMe/16GB RAM/2060 confirguration. This thing is seriously the FASTEST PC I've ever owned. Absolutely smashes in Office, Adobe CS, and Sony Vegas. As far as gaming I've tried GTA V and Skyrim SE so far on it and they look straight up BEAUTIFUL on this display. Is the display the best available? No but is it adequate for somebody who predominantly uses this PC for work AND play? Yes.Overall a great value for the performance it gives.

Bad Laptop. Crashes constantly.
Terrible laptop. Cheap materials and it shuts down or crashes constantly. I bought this for my son who is a Software Engineering Student. This laptop will shutdown when he is the middle of coding and it can only be restarted with a hard reset. I completely regret this purchase. I'm an Electronics Engineer and have tried to isolate the problem and get it fixed at a Laptop Repair Center. With a fan dock we're able to cool it and allows it to run better. Too bad because it's a nice design.

Why do i buy a laptop that keeps bluescreening?
Im a streamer so i depend heavily on my tech to work. ive had this laptop for about 7 months now and week 2 the thing started to blue screen for no reason. i only had streamlabs on it at the time. To this day it has been continuously crash and bluescreening for no reason. I even factory reset the laptop (per the request of ASUS) and i'm STILL having this same problem. This is unacceptable and I will never be buying another ASUS product or anything else from this buying ever again.
