If only we had known . . .
Dr. Feelgood's Casebook is the eagerly awaited sequel to the best-selling book on the notorious Dr. Max Jacobson. And what a fascinating sequel it is! It boggles the mind to think that so many Hollywood actors, Washington politicos, and even the pope (!) were patients of this sketchy individual, who routinely injected them with vast quantities of methamphetamine. It just proves that even people in high positions are desperate to be free of chronic pain and need help just getting through an ordinary day. In the back of their minds, Jacobson's patients must surely have questioned what was being shot into their veins. Or perhaps they really didn't really want to know. As arguably the most famous of all Jacobson regulars, President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, said to his wife, Jacqueline, "I don't care if he's injecting me with horse piss; it takes away the pain in my back." The research and sheer number of interviews that co-author Lertzman has done over a many-year period to make this book as revelatory and factual as possible is nothing short of phenomenal. Even when the truth is unpleasant to read, it is important that it be out there for all to see. Well done, gentlemen.

Factual account of how one man changed so many lives.....
Fascinating follow up to the original Dr. Feelgood book written by Richard Lertzman and William Birnes. This book continues to surprise and enlighten with an in depth look into Dr. Max Jacobson's mind with much of his life in his own words from his own personal manuscript. This book reveals how Max Jacobson viewed himself and what led him to treat his patients with his secret formula. The list of people whose lives he altered with his treatments is just incredible. How one man changed the lives of so many famous people and influenced outcomes of world wide significance is just mind blowing. A must read for those who love to know the behind the scenes information. The facts are all there for you to draw your own conclusions. Was he really an Einstein or a Frankenstein?

A Must Have. It breaks the Kennedy Myth. Brilliant and full Documentation.
An absolute must have. Brilliant and carefully researched. Historically a masterpiece. This book unmasks the Kennedy presidency. It puts JFK and Jackie in a new light. Here is a mad doctor who freely treated icons from JFK and Jackie, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Pope Pius XII, Rod Serling, Tennessee Williams, Truman Capote... the list seems endless. This doctor began the meth epidemic. Here is JFK using meth during the Cuban Missle Crisis. Mind blowing. Kudos to the authors. An amazing fast read with full documentation
