Handy to have for trekking poles
My wife lost the tio to her trekking pole while on a hike in the Superstition Wilderness. Glad I had these extras in my day pack

strong built but STINK!
These are better built then most pole tips but they stink something terrible. When I first opened them even my son could smell them several feet away. I have had them sitting outside for 4 days and they still smell too much for me to have them in my car or house. Too bad because they are nice and solid. If you have any sensitivity to odors I'd avoid them.

Suggestion to make these tips last longer
One suugestion to make these tips last. Remove the metal tip of the pole itself, or cover it with duct tape, and then istall the rubber tip. The hardened metal end protrudes through the internal washer causing the rubber tip to wear out prematurely. I have shocked poles, and solid poles, and I have to rely on them to walk, being didsabled. They simply work better and last longer. The metal tips remove from the end of the pole with a pair of pliers on my Leatherman or small multitool and carry those in my shoulder satchel for dirt trails when spiking the ground is critical.

Fit well but wore thru quickly
Good fit on my trekking poles. However, one 16 mile hike later, it wore thru the bottom. Should last longer than 1 hike. Glad there a multiple units per bag.

Works great on wading staff
Put one of these on the end of my foldable wading staf and now it's quiet when I cross a rocky stream. I also enjoy the purchase it gives on rocky river bottoms and when coming out of the river to climb a steep bank. Take a couple extra with you in case one falls off. I haven't had that happen yet but it could.
