A good read and reference, pity it's not smaller size and hard back.

Gardner engines were revered by bus, truck, rail and marine operators for many years. This is a fascinating insight into the history of what was to become the Gardner engine company. From the humble beginnings of "Lawrence Gardner, Machinist", charting diverse operations right through to the end of new engine production in the 1990s. An absolute must for anyone who has been associated with Gardner engines in any shape or form and wishes to know more. It has been very well researched and was written in association with Paul Gardner. Highly recommended.

Bought this for my dad, he used to work at gardners when he was a young lad and is always reminiscing about the good old days. full of old photos, he liked it.

A great book for anyone interested in the Gardner story. Packed with original pictures and pen drawings, it gives a superb insight into the history of the marque. Well worth the money.
