Waste Toner Container - Yield: 12,000 BW 3,000 Color - Compatible with: CLP-500/500N CLP-510/510N CLP-550/550N

It's a waste toner collection cartridge - what's to comment on? It was "required" to allow my Samsung CLP-500 printer to continue working - a classic case of planned obsolescence as the "old" waste cartridge was, a) not full (it was about 2 to 5% full!) and b) fitted, contrary to the printer's electronic display information that one or the other was extant.As to the product itself: it was delivered within 3 days of ordering, very well packed, in all original Samsung packaging. It was a doddle to fit and it works just fine. No quibble with the supplier just with the rather blatant product churn by Samsung.I would add that within a month of fitting this unnecessary item the printer informed me that, one by one, every toner tray was empty and then that this item was either full or not fitted correctly! I bought an Epson ink-jet replacement for the entire printer.

It doesn't say anywhere in the description but the one I ordered is very scratched and grubby on the outside and very dirty/dusty on the inside. I could have just washed out the original container if I'd realised the replacement was going to be a recycled one! Need it so will keep it this time.

Does what it says on the tin really! If you have a printer it works with you must have one. I personally give them a shake when nearing full to squeeze that last little bit in, as it always feels like I'm spending money for no appreciable gain.I tried once emptying it and cleaning out to reuse; I won't be doing that again. Ignoring the mess, it didn't work as the bit the light sensor shines light through is practically impossible to clean properly and said it was full more often than not.It's a tax on doing business I'm afraid.
