The markers themselves are pretty darn good! They're juicy and flow well, with very little streaking and bleeding. I enjoyed drawing with them. Included is a sketch I made on tan paper, as part of a lesson to someone on using alcohol markers. (With a bit of white posca pen). Warning: swatch the colors before use, the caps aren't a reliable guide to the color of the ink!The selection of colors seems heavy on the greys, with a number of cool greys, warm greys, blue greys, green greys... This isn't a shortcoming, per se, but it does mean the selection of other hues is limited. I think if one was interested in doing landscape or architectural drawings though these colors would be great! A good set for someone to take for on the go plein air drawings.The case is useful, but there is no internal support, so your pens wont stay organized when it gets shaken around while being carried. I wish the major marker manufacturers would get on board with including cases by default like this!

Up until now I’ve used Windsor and Newton Pro markers & Prisma color markers exclusively and while I’ve built up a pretty large collection over the years I still always found myself wanting for a better color selection. Since I’m currently not in a position to be spending several hundred dollars on markers right now, I decided to search Amazon for a lower-priced option and I must say I’m so glad that I did. These markers are wonderful! The color selection is amazing, this set has every color I could possibly want and more. Out of 168 markers, not a single one was dried out, and I love that it comes with a case. Best of all, on good quality paper they perform just as well as my namebrand markers that are so much more expensive. Whether you’re looking to expand your existing collection, or are just starting out and want to get the best bang for your buck, buy this set!! I’m so glad that I did!

Bought these for use in my journals. They lay a LOT of ink down and bleed through my journal pages. If using for a single sided coloring image I think they would be fine, but not so much for journal decoration.

I did not like that the colors bleed thru paper; nor did I like the alcohol smell. I would, however, consider buying again if it included colors like baby pink, teal, Christmas green, poinsettia red, snowflake blue, blue violet, apple green, plum purple, and charcoal (yes, I have an adult color-by-number coloring book with those colors). I also wish they were water-based and in a brush tip. I would even consider buying sets that reflect seasons and holiday-themed sets such as Christmas (with the reds, greens, golds, silvers, etc.); Easter; Thanksgiving; and seasons of the year (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter). Also include the plain, old basic colors: red, blue, green, yellow, brown, purple. Yes, I know............being picky, but this particular kit I purchased didn't have those basics; had variations but basics always need to be included.In any case, I will be ordering again, and hope someone considers creating another kit including the above mentioned colors, water-based so they won't bleed thru, and perhaps, in a brush-tip.

These pens are wonderful. They bleed a little but for a beginner these are amazing. The color is smooth.

My 11 year older daughter absolutely loves these markers. A great price for the quantity and quality.

I’ve had these a couple weeks now so I’ve used pretty much all the colors and I gave it a lower review because some of them came apart when I opened them and I had a couple that were drying out already and it was the first use of them. They are good quality but a few not so much. But what’s a few out of 80 I guess.

Purchased for a 16th birthday.Great quality, but set was missing 3 markers upon arival. Comes with just the carrying case to keep markers inside so very possible some could go missing.
