TB100 Gate Closer

Closes good, not too fast or slow. The prop open feature is nice. Does squeak pretty loud but it's a bit of security to hear when someone comes and goes for the dogs and I.

I had been using a Kant Slam closer but after many hinge replacements for the KS I found this Turtleback closer. Mounted in the same holes very easily. The adjustment went quick. Now my metal frame 42 inch gate opens very easy compared to the KS closer and closes just way I have always wanted it to close.The hinge welds are improved and the closing springs have less tension than the Kant Slam making it much easier to open the gate.You must ensure the the gate can not open greater than 90 degrees, this will warp the hardware and render the closer useless.I'm very satisfied with this gate closer.

The product works well for residential applications. I would not recommend this product for a commercial application as the product does not last under frequently opening and closing of pedestrian gates.

DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE! Lasted less than 4 months before it stopped closing the gate at all. Pretty major safety issue for a family with 2 toddlers and a pool. It’s sad that the knock off works and lasts longer. The icing on the cake is when we called customer support 4 months later to file a claim we were treated like garbage and the picture we submitted showed the old spring closer that was disconnected but they said that it voided the warranty. I explained to them that it was disconnected and they told my wife that they would send a form that never came to file a claim. He made sure to include in his Email if they found that it was caused by us it would not be covered. I’m pretty sure if they had sent the form and we paid the shipping to send the crap back to them that they would make something up and deny the claim anyway. Please heed my warning and DO NOT BUY THIS.Please please please buy any other brand but this... If you buy it then it’s on you.

It's a bit tricky to install. But I still bought a second one for a second gate. You cannot let the gate open more than 90 degrees or you will strain this mechanism. We broke a weld on one bracket after several months. Install a door stop to prevent this.

I love this gate closure system it allows for quiet closure and prevents gate from slamming great value for the money adjustable spring makes it nice

Works good until they break. 3rd one on same gate in 7 years.
