SoulCollage Evolving: An Intuitive Collage Process for Self-Discovery and Community

This book explains the process of creating cards through Collaging. This is process where cards are created randomly or intuitively. The book goes into a wonderful analysis of the process itself. There are 4 suits and each one is explained in detail. It is a simple process yet one can go as deep as one wants. It is a process of self-discovery and amazing cards can be created. The cards also talk to us and we do a question: Who are You? where the card speaks to us and expresses what is seen in the card. The card takes on its own voice. We can learn so much about ourself and one can be any age to do this work. The art work is created from images in magazines,greeting cards,calendars and other sources. These images are then arranged on 5by8 mat boards. There are no words on the cards only the images. Theseimages speak to us on a personal level. Decks are created and put into the differentsuits: Community, Committee, Companion[animals that connect to our own chakras} and the Council Suit. One can do daily readings with the cards they have created. It is a peaceful process yet one can go as deep as one wants and explore their inner voices. It can also be used in therapy groups or in hospitals or in nursing homes. I highly recommend you try it for yourself and see where it takes you.

What Seena Frost has done here is the exploration of our inner world and bringing it forth, to the level of consciousness, in order for us to better understand ourselves and evolve, thus evolving. I had taken a SoulCollage class with someone local who teaches it. However, the costliness of the courses prompted me to purchase the book.I like the book except that its turned sideways so its a little cumbersome to read. I also would have liked more color pictures - there are a lot of black and whites but color is always better. (There are some color pictures however.)It explains the process very completely - much more so than the course I took - so its a great reference if you decide to make a complete deck of cards.It does not include a source for the 5x8 matte board cards. You have to get those on the internet. There is a vendor out there who also sells the plastic sleeves to protect your cards and uses the recycled pieces from a framing service at a good price. (If you're an artist and familiar with cutting matte board - you could do it yourself...You would just need a source for the plastic sleeves since the process involves using your cards for meditation or personal discovery and you don't want them to get soiled or worn....)

These cards represent parts of your self, mentors and people who have influenced your life (this is a broad category of any person, place or thing), your energies (represented by color, animals, etc.) and the archetypes at work in your life (such as teacher, artist, fool, knight in shining armor, princess). It's fascinating work and fun at the same time.There are lots of places on the web to look for other examples and inspiration for SoulCollage cards. No artistic training necessary, but you will notice how artistic you feel after creating a few of them.

I'm reading this as a prerequisite to participating in a SoulCollge(R) Facilitators course after having attended an introductory class. This book is amazing. The process developed by Seena B.Frost is fun, creative, intuitive and helps immensely with self-awareness, personal growth and building community. The process is clearly explained and there are many wonderful captioned photos that show SoulCollage(R) cards made by various individuals. Stories are shared showing how the process works. Would give it more Stars if I could!

What a gorgeous book! I had read about Soul Collage on the website but did not expect the book to go into such detail about the process. I thought it would probably give basic instructions then urge me to purchase more "things" that I needed. Not so. Everything you need to begin Soul Collage is in the book and you can start as soon as you finish reading.

This book and method is simple, well thought out and amazingly healing. I really felt different after going to a workshop with this method and this book as guide. I will keep using it and growing in my inner life because it opens a doorway into the spirit. It is like a conversation with the subconscious and the mythic realms. Highly recommended.

I can't really praise this book highly enough. It will take me a lifetime to take it all in - and that's the point, really!
