🔧 Drill, Pull, Conquer!
The Klein Tools 53720 Flex Bit Auger is a 1-inch by 54-inch flexible drill bit designed for drilling through wood within walls. Its tapered back ensures easy retrieval, while the spring steel shaft provides durability. The screw point tip facilitates smooth drilling, and the fish eye holes on either end allow for efficient wire pulling in both directions.

Good quality
This is a good product. The only recommendation I have is to not be in a big hurry when drilling the. This bit wants to hog down the hole as fast as it can which is fine except for the fact the flexible extension is only 1/4" and WILL snap off. Take your time drilling.

Worked
Worked for what I needed. Difficult to handle even with the Klein tool to hold and bend it. Ended up not getting straight holes but… as I said. It did work. Job is complete. YMMV

Magical Tool for a First Timer
I've never run cabling through the walls and it turned out to be more complex than I thought. I used this to run from the attic to my basement, and it was perfect. Only sent it through the wall once...oops. probably drilled 15 holes and still blasting through studs.I also bought the tool that allows you to angle the bit into the wall and it was a waste of money. I have better control with a cheap pair of gloves or bare handed.

Received the wrong one
Ordered a used 9/16-Inch x 54-Inch Long bit and received a 1" diameter instead. The bit received works well and arrived in good condition, but no time to exchange it and now have massive holes to caulk. No explanation; seems a bit suspicious on the fulfillment end.

1" bit is difficult to manage
I used a 1" bit, from which I learned that 1) You're definitely best off with a drill that uses a key for the chuck rather than hand-tightened (keyless) chuck; 2) you need a drill more powerful than 7 amps. It is necessary to back out several times during the process. But since you're "blind" to the actual drilling site, it's very difficult to figure out if you're in the same hole, or instead inadvertently started a second hole (or third, fourth, etc). This is where having a more powerful drill is helpful whereby you can use a slower, more controlled RPM both in and out directions, and thereby have a better feel for the tip of the bit (which you can't see).

Works great USE LOW RPM
If you run this in reverse while getting it to location your drilling helps maneuver it and if you use low rpm in bursts trigger on/off they work great. If you try to run this full speed you’ll strip out the tip and the bit won’t drill. So take your time and go slow. Klein products are top notch!!

Does what it says it does. Be careful that your aim is good!
Bought this to run Cat6 cable through lath-and-plaster walls without ripping them out.The 3/8 inch drill is juuuust big enough for a Cat6 cable. I also bought the 3/4 inch model, and it works pretty much the same. You will need the bending tool, just order it. Also, be good with your aim - I had one mis-drill and ended up punching through the ceiling of the floor below. Oh, well, you live and you learn. In the end, I achieved what I set out to do.

ok
It's not so flexible.

Product is good but I got the used one in the package
Product is good I mean works but I got the used one in the package so I am returning it eventually. I used it for ywo holes and so far it worked okay. 72 inches are bit hard for me to flex it. May be I do not know tricks to use it. Klein tools should check what they are sending out. I am disappointed just because I got the used product. Else then that product is good.

Need more flex
The auger part of the bit works great, I just needed more flex in the rod, it was to stiff to drill horizontal through studs behind drywall entering from a hole where a receptacle was. I could get through the first stud but had to make an opening in the wall to pull the bit closer to the backside of the drywall so the bit would be in more of a straight line ,I know klein sells a tool to pull the bit closer, but it wouldn't of worked in my case, it's too rigid.

Received a Defective Product or Klein product quality going down hill.
I love Klein products and I have all the drivers/flat head/red,black,green robies. But this flex bit was a disappointment as the stem twisted after 2 holes. Couldn't finish the job due to the wobble. I wouldn't recommend this product. The drill bit barely has a scratch on it. I either received a defective product..or Klein quality is just not good anymore.
