I often buy sweatshirts at thrift stores to resell, I don't know why people would take out the drawstring, but I've had to replace 4 or 5. I got tired of running to JoAnn's fabrics and wait for a sale coupon, AND take the chance that they would have what I needed.I bought this product and it works great. I use my That Purple Thang sewing tool to get the drawstring though the hoodie without problem. I just sew the ends folded over so that they don't run, it looks brand new, and I can usually resell my sweatshirts for $10 more just having the drawstring.I'm planning on buying grey and natural colors now that I know this product was what I needed.

Purchased the black to add a drawstring in sweatpants. It went through the sweats easily, was easily able to sew the ends to prevent fraying and ties and unties easily.

The drawstrings that came in was pretty nice to the touch. You can get a pretty good amount of uses with 10 yards. I bought this for the purpose of installing this flat drawstring through a few pair of my shorts and pants.

This product works great when you need to replace your drawstring on a pair of scrub pants! I had three pair I quit using because the draw string broke on them. This product not only is a good replacement but it is easy to untie unlike other draw strings! I would definitely recommend this product and I will use them again for sure!

Product is exactly as described. Great quality , would definitely recommend. Id buy again when the need arises. They're similar to non-elastic scrub pant drawstrings.

The seller should inform the purchasers in the description that the drawstring shrinks about 3-5 inches after washed and dried. The ends will fray overtime and I doubt the material could hold a stitch if the were to be hemmed at the ends of each cut. Overall, the item works well if you use this information I’ve provided. 1. Living in the south, my sweats were still packed up when I ordered this cord, so I just got what I thought would work. When I got around to replacing the original, this cord was twice the size and flat instead of round. I had to fold this cord in half to thread it through the waist band. The original cord always seemed to stretch out as I wore the pants and I was constantly retying it. This one stays put. I was worried that the ends would need to be knotted to keep from raveling because that would make a couple of good sized knots under your T shirts or knit tops. After laundering the sweats several times, the raw ends are fine. If I replace a hoodie cord, I will either knot or sew the ends to make them look a little neater.

Needed to replace the drawstrings on several pairs of sweatpants and shorts and this did the trick. We will have to see how well it holds up. But at least for now my pants will stay up.
