Celtic Satin Bag Misc. Supplies – June 8, 2006

I just received my bag and I really like it. It is a beautiful dark green (maybe a touch of blue is mixed into the green) and the Celtic design and lining are a lime green. The two colors are a nice combination. The fabric is smooth and shiny. I also like the size of the bag since it holds my larger tarot cards. The only reason I gave the bag a rating of four stars is that the fabric is very thin and this makes the bag fragile. As I am usually running late and in a hurry, I will have to remember that rather than shoving this bag into my carry-all, I will have to place it in my carry-all very carefully.

This bag is superb, well made and seems very sturdy (pull-chords included). I will definitely be ordering more out of the same series from Lo Scarabeo.A few things to know before buying:* I measured it, and the dimensions listed are correct, but they are correct when empty. Once a 78 card deck is in there, the entire listed height and width aren't available. That should be obvious (it's sort of how any flat bag works) but I thought I'd let people know. I have a larger deck in it now though (The Druidcraft Tarot), and it looks/closes just fine.* The toggles on the pull-chords are made of cloth. Looking at the picture now, that seems really clear, but I had assumed they were some kind of plastic or painted wood. It personally makes no difference to me, but again, just so you know before buying.*The emblem is embroidered, not stamped, on. A few of the Celtic series bags (I imagine because of the intricacy of the knots) are stamped on instead of embroidered, so I figured I'd help clear that up in case anyone was wondering.

It isn't often that a product is better than expected, but this is one of those times. I absolutely love this bag. It's a soft, light weight material, with nicely done embroidery work, and it feels fairly durable.But FAIR WARNING: I don't know if the makers had to switch their materials or if the picture is just wrong, but the colors shown are not quite right. The cloth is several shades darker, and the embroidery is a kind of limy-yellow-green. The effect is a much darker/warmer color-scheme than one would expect from the image.That said, I actually like this bag much better than the image, and have no real complaints. It really is a beautiful bag.

They fit a standard sized deck of Tarot cards, which are usually bigger than normal sized playing cards, with a little room to spare in case you have even bigger cards (like "Oracle cards"). That curved top flap thingie on the top of the bag you see in the picture, above the 2 drawstrings...? I wondered what the heck that was too. When you draw the drawstrings closed & tie them off, they scrunch up and give the bag a sort of medieval "pouch" look. I'd post a photo here if I could/knew how to show you what I mean. Soft velour inside & out, handsome looking pouch.

Ordered this to use for round deck of Motherpeace cards. They fit perfectly. It is a beautiful, detailed bag, soft satin and lining, lovely embroidery of the Celtic horse image Epona. Well made. Very pleased with purchase.

Does exactly what I wanted; a good, safe place for my Tarot deck. I have a collection, but this is sturdy, well-made, and I would buy more, if they came in other colors....although I like the green very much. Fast shipping. Good value. Saw this in a retail store for much more. Glad I found it on Amazon.

Not too big not too small; the fabric is luxurious and quite lightweight. I use it for my Deidre of the Sorrows Tarot which comes from Ireland. My only complaint is that I wish it would have come in more colors as green is not my favorite. ( But I suppose green is very celtic) Otherwise, it is a great buy!

Excellent bag, perfect for two decks of cards and one of the most reasonably priced for the quality items I've EVER found! If you want to protect your cards in a reverent way, buy this bag, you won't regret having done so. This bag has my very highest recomendation!

I am a huge fan of these Lo Scarabeo bags and have bought many of them. They are my favourite bags for storing Tarot decks because of their silky feel both inside and outside, since they are lined. I also love the bright colours of this one in particular and have bought several of these alone. They are big enough for all but extremely large Tarot cards (of typical Oracle size, for example.) Although I cannot really address their durability since I only started buying them about 4 months ago, I find them to be very well made and thought out. When pulled close, they create a ruffle of a different colour which also makes them visually attractive, in my opinion. Highly recommend. Some of these bags arrive very quickly - others take a bit longer but I have no complaints.

This is a great bag! Lovely material with great finish. The outside material is dark green, the inner layer is light green. This bag is big enough fto fit my Tarot deck, pendulum and few crystals or just a full deck of Angel Cards. I'm thinking about buying another one as I like it so much.
